He claimed that sex change surgery was too expensive for the military to pay for, among other reasons.

The only real reason he should have stated is that they're extremely psychologically unstable.

Because he's about to send them to the combat lines and that's no where for someone who can't even decide what bathroom to use.

Most disorders, be they mental, physical, neurological or whatever, that require a constant supply of medication for you to function normally, are enough to get you banned from military service, so I don't see how this is any different.
Now, once stem cell technology gets to a point where we can effectively implant fully functional ovaries into someone born male, this ban will likely no longer apply.

It's really not that big of an issue but it sucks when you have to deploy twice because someone else can't, and it's a waste of money to give them a sex change and have them be non-deployable for 2 years (they can't get their hormone meds when deployed). Other than that there's a lot more problems. When I was in the AF it was common to have to deploy in someone's place because they got a DUI or favoritism. Also rape is pretty common, and our military spends money on stupid shit so we should probably cut their budget.

Which, if you factor in the ratio of successful to unsuccessful suicides (1/33) and the fact that 9/10 people who survive a suicide attempt do not go on to die by suicide at a later date, is actually less than the suicide rate for people diagnosed with depression.
Of course, I'm not advocating that anyone diagnosed with depression should be allowed in the military either.

Literally everything from ADHD and dyslexia to sleepwalking is grounds for disqualification. That doesn't mean that habitual sleepwalkers are "second-class citizens" or whatever, just that their physiology is not suitable for combat.
If it's the latter, the Trump administration literally cited reliance on HRT as the main reason for the ban IIRC

The burden of proof is on the recruitment office to figure out if they're part of the 50% of trans people with mental illness. There's no way to figure that out without barring all of them. Unless they voluntarily send all they're psychological evaluations from their whole life, you can't tell if they have an underlying mental illness.

Chances are they would find a brand new psychiatrist and get a bill of good health before applying. That doesn't prove they should handle a gun. They would do anything for free surgery trust me. They just wanna get in, get their hormones, get their surgery and in the mean time they're handling guns and operating equipment.

I don't think they should do all that on mood altering hormones. It's not safe or prudent. They knew they would get sued but they didn't care because this move will potentially save American lives.

1. Transgender people are mentally ill. A person who cannot figure out their gender by looking at their own crotch has issues that should objectively prevent us from putting a gun in their hands and sending them into combat. Who knows who they'll end up killing?

2. Practicality. We don't need confusion in our barracks. None of this "Which bathroom should I use?" nonsense is going to help us win a war, it's only going to create anxiety and internal conflict for our real soldiers (men).

Around 3 transgenders in active service + maybe 50 veterans who went tranny after service costs the military 8 million fucking dollars(military pays for SRS and hormone therapy). Libruls often raise a point of ED treatment(viagra) costing 48M but that 48M goes to few generations of soldiers. You know, old farts who remember Vietnam but still want to fuck whores get free viagra thanks to military - we're talking about millions of people here. And trannies were just starting to pour into military.

That's the major factor but there are more. First of all the way trannies in the military worked, well, they didn't. They get awful ton of leave because of hormone therapy and SRS and outside of that leave they are for months exempt from frontline service. Even if they were considered in the first place because from the idiotic experiments with sending women into combat we've learned that female reproductive organs need too much hygiene for being in combat zone(several female veterans who were sent to some shithole in the sandbox got enormous compensations because poor hygienic condition caused infection and made them infertile) - and trannies, majority of them MtF need even better conditions.

Secondly, we know perfectly well that 45% of trannies attempted suicide at least once in their life(sometimes successfully) - these are the kind of people retards want to turn into grade A grunts. Thought German penal battalions were brutal and sadistic? Wait for 1st Leafstan Tranny division to debut in combat. Meanwhile some sleeping disorders disqualify you from service...

Thirdly - if those were only expensive welfare queens but they aren't. Together with trannies, various "tolerance" training shit entered the military, and it took tons of time that could've been used for useful things like combat training. So not only are trannies useless for the military purposes but they also tangentially reduce the combat effectiveness of the troops(armies fight as they train).
