Why did Germans destroy Ancient Rome? Are they just cunts?

The germanic immigration and takeover is actually one of the few examples of a superior race taking over an inferior. They preserved much of rome but brought order and safety back. Most of the old roman citizens preferred the new germanic regimes to the extent that when the "romans" returned in the form of Justinian they did not support them
