You say that you don't like the affirmative action, white guilt, etc., and yet it currently prevails in the American system. So the question is, should any changes be proposed to the American system? You take your above statement (someone anti-establishment won’t get elected), and your conclusion is therefore that the desired changes aren’t really possible. Do you think that people here who say they are national socialist, ancap, (or any non-mainstream ideology) just woke up one day and decided that’s what they would be for no apparent reason? No – they first had the realization that you did: that the candidate who could affect the necessary change will likely not be elected *under the current system*.

The US’ current system of government, and more specifically, the way it has evolved over the last several decades, is a very narrow slice of the types of political systems and ideologies that have existed or have been conceptualized throughout the history of Western civilization. One reaction to the belief that it isn’t working is, as you suggest, to say it’s not possible to achieve the type of society we desire.
