Does technological advancement make it inevitable that the world is heading towards a single, global authoritarian government?

No, it's just A.) The easiest path to take, and B.) The most desirable outcome for the elite.
>>
>>140115015
only temporary. because further technological advancement will lead to every individual having a mcnuke.
>>

Authoritarianism can work only temporarily. Think of it as a societal reset function. Once a society becomes so corrupt that it collapses you need authoritarianism to recover. But once it is back on it's feet and funcional, authoritarianism becomes a hinderance and has to go or stagnation and implosion is imminent.
>>
Technology has the potential to decentralize. The issue is governments using new technologies to perform the opposite. It's no necessarily the case that new tech will lead to further globalization. It's who controls these technologies and what they do with them.

How would society collapse if the government could make you drop dead with the press of the button? Or if they can read/control your thoughts at all times? There would be no possibility of an uprising.

This isn't even that hard to do, killing people at long distance could be done today if it were mandated that all newborns were given cyanide implants that could be controlled wirelessly. Don't like the government? No problem, fuck you were killing you from hundreds of miles away.

>read/control your thoughts
This is the only thing that is actually possible and being implemented right now in a way: media brainwashing. But the rest of it belongs in >>>/x/
>>
>>140117017
Why is it unfeasible to be able to put a cyanide capsule in someone and be able to activate it remotely? Even sandniggers have been able to manage the same thing for the past 20 years using mobile phones to activate bombs.

RFID implants are already a thing, circuitry can generate power from body heat to work.

Lay off the sci-fi. This is reality.

Not an argument.

One think I've noticed is that the most depraved disgusting neckbeards tend to be die hard tesla fans. Why is that? Are the all not just a bunch of autistic faggots or what?
