No, it's just a matter of perception.
Conservatism/traditionalism values women for what they are...or I guess *have been* good at.
ie; being mothers and general caretakers.
This does not mean that they cannot have job, however, it just limits their choices.
Ideally a mother shouldn't have a job, though, at least not during her children's youth.
And they shouldn't have jobs that require physical strength (unless they are actually capable) because "muh equality"
Conservatism gives women an easy, secure and comfortable life.

I dunno about conservatism, but I know the beliefs of many of the people on this board are hierarchical based on any number of factors, like race, gender, intelligence, physical fitness, whatever. This means that the more "elite" you get, the smaller the circle. This doesn't appeal to many people because they don't like the idea of being inferior. This is why equality appeals to so many people.
