As about US I haven't been there so I can't judge but from what I've read it's not exactly a safe place and especially not with all the current happenings.

Yet it's undoubtedly the 2nd strongest military in the world, it has been on the oil needle since it was a topical rare resource to trade so it's nothing new.

And it was a superpower with the same traits as Russia now, so I doubt that they will not want to re-establish themselves, especially with all the turmoil in the west, the only thing the west has against them is the oil price or sanctions on the oligarch accounts and assets
