ALWAYS enlist for the shortest time possible. If you hate it you can get out. If you like it you can reenlist and get some sweet bonus out of it.

Joining the military is a good idea but just know that its going to suck for most of it. You'll gain experience, save some cash and get the GI Bill. Even if you already did college you can use it for other shit like flight school. If you want something that translates to the civilian world there are plenty of good pog jobs for that. If you aren't sure, go infantry. Might as well learn to fight and kill since the civil war isn't too far off.

I strongly recommend you go the pog route and get a job that would transfer to civilian side easily. it definitely boosts your resume and how you look to employers. also you can get credits in college if you go in for a technical skill mos, you'll have to test out to earn those credits at the college though. but if you really don't give a fuck infantry isn't a bad way to go, just know that life is gunna be a lot harder than say if you're a human resource specialist.
