Not really. The wind pattern around a helicopter up in the air is largely a closed toroidal vortex.
It's also hard to tell how close objects are at that distance in such crappy images.

There's no way to tell exactly how close the helicopter is to it in the videos. The helicopter could be a good 200+ feet away from it.
Whether the pilot is uncertain of what it is, or has been hired to film the drone, it makes sense for him to keep his distance for safety or to avoid catching the drone in the helicopter's rotor wash.

The balloon drone in that video appears to be about 6-8' in diameter, which is already about the size of a police/news helicopter cockpit.
There's also no reason it couldn't be a larger balloon than the one in the video.

Please at least perform some level of critical thinking and add it as part of the discussion prior to posting.

First thought is the possibility that it is some form of tethered weather balloon. Although they are usually deployed at high altitude, low altitude or tethered balloons could provide valuable data regarding wind speed and direction.

Considering there is a huge inferno currently spreading across the state, this should be considered.

Second thought was to search "ball UAV" plenty of videos showing civilian ball UAV's ranging back to 2012 and prior.

I don't doubt the US government has similar vehicles in their arsenal either.

Third thought, no mention of when the object arrived or left or video footage showing movement at all beyond what seems to be rotation, which could simply be wind moving a balloon.

Probably a probe from the ground on a tether but the no swaying in the wind is odd. The odds of it sitting in a pocket of air that wasn't moving at all (or very very slightly) seems low. multiple videos seem to indicate it's not CGI.
