It's easy and predictable. There will be a new form of ID that you can half implanted into your wrist or something and it is meant to be "much more secure and useful" than a standard ID. This ID could hold not only your personal info, but credit information and health records as well as your criminal history. All this information could be accessed in locations you visit via wifi, and that information can also be used to make purchases. The ID chip is tied to your DNA, so nobody else could use or steal it.

It would be so convenient at first that people would start using it. Then they slowly raise taxes on companies that make credit cards and before long you can't use any BUT the chip.
