I think the hijackings were real, and they really flew the plains into the buildings, but for various reasons this known about in advance and the preparations to demolish the 3 WTC buildings were made. There are multiple people telling groups of people going into WTC buildings at night to work in the elevator shafts, at least that's what it was supposed to be.

Both of the 2 main buildings were undergoing "elevator renovation" for at least 2 months prior to the attacks.
