You get them to question their beliefs by asking them questions until you find one that can't be answered, not by proposing ideas. It will end up with them talking about how "obvious" something is, at which point you simply ask them "What if someone thinks it's obvious you're wrong? Why is your opinion more valid than theirs?" There is no good answer to this question. They will either accept this, or call you names and re-assert themselves, in which case you should murder them without hesitation.
