It was more fun to watch with limited aerodynamics.
Even now the speed has gone up with this year's regulations, it's not very exciting. It's almost like the cars have become too easy to drive fast, with all the downforce in the world helping the cars stay flat and predictable.
I'd rather it was a bit slower and a lot less predictable than any faster and more of the same.

That's been happening since shit hybrid V6 1.6 liter turbo were introduced. Even in 2014 was worse, Mercedes were dominating with an iron fist. Same for 2015 and 2016. This season though there's more competition with the Ferraris being able to defeat the Mercedes and the championship fight being very close between Vettel and Hamilton. I would say this has been the best season of the hybrid era so far.
