Yeah it's actually pretty based. Check a trailer or two. It's based on a book so it has some structure to it (I hate when you can tell the writers are making shit up as they go to stretch each season like they're doing in GOT right now).

It's about the son of an english lord who gets raised by germanic invaders. It's basicly around the same timeline as Vikings, with similar themes, but on the side of the english being invaded and how they fought back (and eventually mixed with the aryan blood).
