So growing up my old boy was always very nationalistic. He told me that travelling overseas was unnecessary and in his most Ozzy accent said:

He basically hates shit skins, sand niggers, tiddly winks and everything in between, so naturally, hasn't done a lot of travel himself.
I on the other hand love to travel and - although I know Western culture is/was the pinnacle of civility - think there is a lot to be gained by spending time with other nationalities in their own natural habitat.
Next year I'll be hiking through Nepal/China/Mongolia/Russia/Lithuania/Morrocco/Spain/Germany/UK, and I wanted to get /pol/'s thoughts on the idea of travel.
Are you so nationalistic that you are completely adverse to the idea? Or have you travelled yourself and can you see the benefits?

I never left my country until 2003 and it was just to go to a hell hole for four years. Never again will I ever leave my country. I am happy here, it is comfortable and peaceful.

Meh, I've traveled abroad enough to know I only give a shit about parts of Europe on any level that inspires awe. Mostly it's the shared history, culture, and art that I enjoy. After having traveled I have very little desire to revisit India, Middle East, Africa, or Asia. I think travel made me more conscious of our cultural differences enough to know that I don't want to live or interact with people of non-European descent on anything more than a cordial surface level.

Fair play. Being so separated from our racial heritage is a good reason to see Europe I agree. To be fair, 90% of the people you meet in third world countries see you as a means of making money. Jews with low IQ basically. I usually stick to myself and only get involved in discourse if the person's actually genuine.
Still, a lot of beautiful landscapes to see as well as disfunctional societal norms that will make your sides tingle
