Why don't Americans just migrate to a 1st world country?
>>
Wow that number is almost as high as the number of Europeans who get raped by migrants
>>
>encourage all the r-strategists in America to leave for free resources elsewhere

This is actually a really good idea.
>>

Bankruptcy: ie legal protection from your creditors.

Oh, the horror.
>>
>>139896052
Mate I think you'll find that the number isn't zero in Europe even with socialism.
>Be Euro.
>Pay tons in taxes for healthcare.
>Still have to pay for medication.
>Still have to pay for non-standard operations.
>Can't even take your ill baby and leave the country.
>>
>>139896052
This was really easy to check: Just google UK medical bankruptcies. Depending on the year medical/illness is listed at 5-8% of the cases.

I've lived in Japan. Same thing. Just because they don't charge co-pays doesn't mean getting sick doesn't make you go bankrupt. In fact, the rate doesn't improve much in countries with single payer systems.

Wanna talk real? The healthcare in those countries sucks and even then is terribly expensive.
>>
>>139896052
Also, just Google'd this analysis (NerdWallet) It was shit analysis in 2013 and it's shit analysis now.

I agree with you, however, that this shitty argument is the best one available for single payer.
>>

British healthcare is alright although it's like walking back in time to the 90s. Pretty much every other single-payer system is utterly meh tier.
That said the USA price gouges at every opportunity. They even charge to let mothers touch their babies instead of just letting the mothers keep the babies and go home. Gotta make sure the baby swaps stay high somehow I guess.
>>
>>139896052
>have insurance
>pay bills
>not broke
I've been to "socialized healthcare" countries and I'll tell you they're shit. Try waiting 3+ hours to see a doctor and 1+ to get meds. Besides there's no death panels and survival is higher.
>>
>>139896052
britain's free health service is for shitskins and deadbeat whites. If you have a job, and are white, you have to pay for your healthcare.

America: Love it or Leave it.
I agree, OP

Why don't Germans just move to the middle east?
>>
Only a brainless moron would even try to sell this shit.
>>
>>139896052
After over 30 years as an MD in the US I can only say this. If you think "healthcare" is expensive now, wait until it's "free".
>>
>>139898742
Let's start with this. 50% of every "healthcare dollar" currently spent is spent out of taxpayer dollars. Medicare, Medicaid, VA, gummint employees. And they are not 50% of the population. So extrapolate and consider what it will cost when 100% of healthcare is taxpayer funded. IOW, it don't work. The first corollary of Murphy's law is that if a thing can't work, it won't. So the only choice will be is to cut "benefits" to reduce costs. IOW, when you get "single payer" what you are gonna get ain't what you get now. Wake the fuck up.

>Believing the jew myth that bankruptcy is the worst thing ever
No wonder europe is full of gullible idiots
>>
>>139899168
Don't you get debt exemption after the bankruptcy process? Some kind of "fresh start"?
>>
We pay for our healthcare, it's not totally free, particularly if you don't work for the government.
>>
>>139899155
I spent a year as the OIC of an Army hospital ER. Literally EVERY patient we saw paid NOTHING. I saw people come in for broken fingernails and paper cuts. In a fucking ER. Just wait. "Single payer" will be the biggest fucking catastrophe the US has ever seen. Which is, of course, the goal.
>>
>>139899365
No. You still have to pay it back, just on a court appointed schedule at reduce interest. Unless you are a Podesta or Corzine.
>>
>>139896052
Not even you are stupid enough to take us.
>>
>>139897327
>That said the USA price gouges at every opportunity.
Oh fuck yeah. Totally agree with you there. Our system needs some serious fixing, but that's no excuse to break it worse.

>The healthcare in those countries sucks
The NHS is the only good thing about Britain.
>>
>>139902765
There's plenty of good things about the limey islands, but the NHS is not one of them. Easily the worst on the list. My wife is pressuring me to practice medicine there and the more I look into it the more I'm wondering if I can't convince her to accept some place with a decent system.
>>
>>139902765
>UK tops in every category except the one that counts the most
>France near bottom in most categories except the one that counts the most
Well, that must suck.
>>
>>139903318
Turns out having people drop dead from obesity and diabetes scares the rest into adopting healthier lifestyles.
>>
>>139902765
>British study finds NHS is the best at everything
>Fails at Long healthy productive lives
Is it just me or is there something fishy here

Now post the cancer survival rates.

You get what you pay for.
