Police saved my life ages ago (got chased by 20 madmen with knives, Special Branch helped me out, even gave me a lift home). But despite being charged for a crime I never committed recently I still support them (my schizo GF, now ex-GF flipped out and pretended I attacked her just to be disruptive, I got charged with Attempted Murder, and was acquitted when she took the stand and revealed how mental she was ). They were only doing their job.
Our police in Scotland are not like English pussy police, they will happily assist you, give you the time, help fix your car when you break down, etc - but give them cheek and God help you - they will smash your teeth right in and charge you with police assault. "It's nice to be nice".
