Why don't you try getting an SIA licence then? Could probably find something local like retail security, or if it is that bad you could work at clubs, not great money probably £9.50 - £10.00 for doorwork but it is consistent work at least.

Failing that you could try get a PTS card (Track maintenance work) for about £180.00 or get one of the major contractors to sponsor you for one if you haven't got the money.. After that it is basically non-stop work if you get in with a major contractor like McGinleys Support Services, unless you're a total gimp, even better if you can pay for a full track induction, normally £9.00 days £11.00 nights to start, don't even need to drive as they will pick you up 9 times out of 10.

Dont bother with a CSCS card is my advice mate, they are being phased out currently. Depends what you want to do with it for how long you have left. I'd ask around and see what employers are after right now, preparing for the change.
