I live on the border, and I'm about a 75 minute drive (provided the QEW and 403 is clear) from Toronto. My speech patterns and accent are more similar to Southern Ontario than Americans, and have more in common with Canadians than most Americans.

That being said; real leaf is right. Canadians are the EXACT SAME as Mid-Western Americans. At least the ones from Rural Ontario through about Saskatchewan. Torontonians are a shitty mix of NYC attitude and San Fran faggotry. Mairtimes Canadians are based, like Maine fisherman and farmers. Quebec is its own thing. Newfies are like American Southerners who think (and actually are) they are different than other leafs. If you're with a group of Newfies, one will always have their flag somewhere with them. Albertans are basically Texans, without the beaners or niggers. BC is Canadian California, but the AIDS (literally) and SJWs are mostly limited to Vancouver. The rest is like Oregon/Idaho in mentality, leave me alone and come smoke some hash.

Canadians abroad project that whole "we're so nice, and not Americans," when really they know deep down their tied to us Burgers, as they literally can't interact with anyone without mentioning the US. They also view our politics like it's their own. It's a vassal state in all but name.
