The people we would call the Celts inhabited Central Europe for over 600 years, inhabiting the region since 600 B.C. and Germans not migrating into central Europe until the 1st century A.D. This is the dumbest interpretation of the fall of the Roman Empire. First off the Germans lost numerous wars against the Roman Empire and were only spared outright conquest because the emperor was worried about Germanicus marching on Rome and naming himself emperor. After Germanicus was assigned to eastern Gaul he won pretty much every engagement against the Germans reclaiming two of the eagles taken at Teutoburg wald and continuing his campaigns even after Arminius (who he had defeated decisively in battle) was assassinated by rival chieftains.

Beyond that Germans didn't collapse the Roman Empire, they were mostly refugees who chimped out, the Goths, Vandals, Franks, and Saxons were all invited into the empire to escape nomadic tribes from the east in exchange for military service. Even then the Roman Empire only collapsed in the west and only after being assailed by Huns, Sarmatians, Celts, and Persians.

Because Germany invaded Belgium. That's literally it. The United Kingdom was actually toying with the idea of joining the war on the side of Germany, actually, or at the very least staying out of it. The King of Britain and the Kaiser were cousins, after all. Ultimately, the reason the UK didn't side with Germany was because Germany was becoming quite the ambitious naval power, which obviously conflicted with the UK's interests. And the reason the UK ultimately joined the war against Germany was because they violated the ultimatum not to invade Belgium. A calculated risk on Germany's part (it was the only way to break the stalemate in Alsace-Lorraine and enter France proper), but it was a gamble that failed and it helped contribute to the result of WWI.
