If you've been to a Trump rally its likely you've seen freelance photographers that act adversarial with Trump supporters.
Here we theorize ways their electronics would be surreptitiously damaged, magnetic memory erased ect. Hopefully by war gaming it here first we can make sure it never ever happens. Property damage is wrong anons. Furthermore we know that any claims about such are absurd and impossible.

Whatever that powder is that is thrown around at colour runs, any fine powder will do because it will get in the gears of the focusing motors in the cameras, as well as being statically charged, downside is that it's hard to use it accurately.
I don't think a magnet would do much to a memory card but I've never tried it.
Best course of action is water or just smash it, yank the lens and pull or dump a bottle of water on it.

These kinds of things could start a confrontation and I'm 90% sure that is what they are looking for.
I think the freelance types would keep their distance if their pictures didn't turn out or things got broken. Most of them look pretty poor or living out of their cars.
