Marxist (Left) socialism and National (Right) Socialism are "antipodal zeitgeists engaged in dialectic". That's a fancy way to say they're opposite ideologies designed to clash, like Yin and Yang.

NatSoc was fundamentally an ideology built around race, while Marxist socialism was entirely different: built around class. Hitler aimed to unite the right and left, including workers and their bosses, into a new German nation based on racial identity. Socialism, in contrast, was a class war between workers, bosses, and owners (Capitalists), aiming to build a workers state in which race and gender were insignificant. Socialists, especially Marxist socialists, were anti-religious atheists, whereas NatSoc went so far as to make Christianity the religion of the state.

The differences go on and on: Marxist socialism was internationalist, NatSoc was nationalist. Marxist socialism was egalitarian, whereas NatSoc believed that nature was unequal and required competition. Marxist socialism wanted to nationalize all private industry, while NatSoc privatized every major industry except the railroads (it considered these a military asset). In fact, Hitler once joked "they didn't need to nationalize property because they nationalized people". NatSoc drew on a range of pan-German theories, which wanted to blend Aryan workers and Aryan magnates into a super Aryan state, which would involve the eradication of class-focused socialism as a non-German ideology.

So no, it wasn't a failed system, because both sides were using it, including the side that won.

Hitler didn't consider Russians subhuman. He considered them inferior. Because in terms of living, they were. Seriously, look at the living style of the average Soviet, then compare them to a German in 1930, they were, by all accounts inferior. He even talks about how some Russians of the old rich class were Germanic. There were multiple reasons for the invasion of the Soviet Union, for example:

We need to analyze their goal wich is obvious.

Naval rearmament started in 1930 by the US and Britain after their naval agreement was over, Britain started developing new bombers in fear of the French because these retards never stopped their rearmament (even though they sighned the Versailles treaty)... And the USSR wasn't weak on building their military either. So in 1935, while everyone was already busy building up their military, after Hitler (and also Roosevelt in agreement) vouched to ban weapons with high civilian casualties (bombers etc) and were ignored, Hitler decided to rearm too. And since they had the weakest military of them all, they had to invest most of the money to be taken seriously... When you have 100k soldiers and your neigbors are maniacs with strong militaries, you certainly don't wait to see what happens.

The only wrongdoing of Hitler here was that "Total War" was ordered too late. They should have put literally everything they had into the war machinery once they invaded Poland and not in 1943. Then at least the post war propaganda of "The Nazis only had a war economy" would have been somewhat true.

Second of all, the treaty of Versailles was for all the nations who signed this treaty, which included Britain and France. As a result, they too signed the deal to disarm after WW1. But we have to put that into context.
There is the foreign attack aspect , but also one from french society.
Our political parties united under socialist banner to prevent a fascist coup.
People rarely know that thousands of french blackshirts tried to storm the parliament and make a coup.

If you want to know, read "Hitlers Revolution" by Tedor, but it's also in the PDF I linked.

TLDR Version: You know the "Untermensch" (subhuman)? That was actually Nazi propaganda, i.e. a pamphlet given out by the Government to the citizens showing them what is not wanted in society. Yet, contrary to post war propaganda, it does not depict specific races or believes, it actually focuses mostly on ugly people and behavior of low moral standards. This is the idea of the subhuman, a person with questionable moral values (and who might be very ugly). Even Goebbels himself said that Subhumans are part of every race as a leaving agent.

So what happened? I think it was on Crimea Island after Barbarossa, not sure though, that the soviet somehow caught this pamphlet, twist the contents of it and thus was born the propaganda of "non aryans are seen as subhumans to be exterminated". Since the Nazis had not propaganda for the liberated/conquered lands in the east, i.e. they never told the natives what would happen to them, the Soviet seized the oppertunity and told the people "here the nazis come to exterminate you all"... this was enough for the people to unite and the idea of the patriotic war was born.
