Why am I (born 1995) considered Gen Z? I thought Gen Z was 2000+.

Why am I (born 1995) considered Gen Z? I thought Gen Z was 2000+.

Growing up around 2000-mid 2006 it was "late Gen Y" culture. The Playstation 2, GBA, DBZ/Yu gi oh/Pokemon Advanced, That's so Raven/Kim Possible, Lord of the Rings/Early Harry Potter, Justice League/Teen Titans era that felt nothing like today, due to the lack of social media.

Gen Z kid culture didn't begin until late 2006/2007 with Bieber, iPhone, Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Obama, Twitter, Fred, Wii, Big Bang Theory, Facebook, Great Recession, Pluto stopped being a planet, etc.

So how am I Gen Z when Gen Z culture didn't begin until I was 11, by which point my childhood was pretty much over? My childhood did NOT have smartphones or social media (though my teenhood did).

Dude all generational romanticizations are just arbitrary categories given to us born (1997) by marketters
>>

True but Gen Z culture didn't begin until late 2006, long after we became conscious
>>
We're not Gen Z, we are definitely the last of the Millennials though

You can really tell the difference between us and older folks, I personally find Millenials condensing, obnoxious, Childish, some of my friends would describe them as "lame" or "wack" Millenials are going to be our baby boomers

People aslo say Genz will be more conservative, I say nein. They're going to be more thick skinned and stoic.

All this generational bullshit is just that -- bullshit.
I'm born in 93 but have more in common with Gen Z and can't fucking relate to "milennials" and their apex bluepilled idiocy. I could go to a local high school in my area and find some 15/16 year old kids who'd do Roman salutes without shame (they even upload selfies doing the salute for lulz), no way in hell that would've happened when I was in school.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
