Yes this is true, but with all the movements to label "antifa" as domestic terrorists, it goes a lot further.

Step out of line politically or make edgy jokes on the internet and the FBI will definitely be keeping an eye on you. But it will just be down to keeping tabs on your internet usage, tapping your phones, maybe asking you questions in person if you really fucked up.

Meanwhile, with my "anfita = terrorists" example it will go down a slippery slope. Since "antifa" is not a single organization, it basically allows the state to label any one who dissents as antifa, and thus as a domestic terrorist by association. Getting raided, thrown off an airplane, and so on is a lot fucking worse than your internet habits getting locked up in some 40 year old virgin's filing cabinet in Washington.
