Oxymoron. Capitalism is about making profits at any cost. As such the best profit motive could be international in nature. Capitalism knows no borders. Either you believe your country comes first (Nationalism) or you believe that profits should come first (capitalism). No it doesn't. Capitalism requires trade but so does any economic system more complex than a bronze age economy, but it doesn't inherently require free trade. Indeed in a nationalistic capitalist nation tariffs would likely be the preferred method of taxation over direct taxation as it protects domestic business while providing revenue, while income taxes and sales taxes disincentive success and disincentive spending respectively.

If you want a state taxation is an inevitable requirement. However I never claimed that heavy tariffs should be used or that the state should get involved in trade wars, simply that tariffs can exist in a capitalist state and that they are if anything the most logical way to help fund a capitalist, nationalistic country. I would assume that a state couldn't survive entirely on tariffs, especially during wartime when imports become much more important, but they could be used alongside other forms of taxation.

That is certainly a valid point but could lead to implications of people avoiding purchasing property simply to avoid high tax rates directly. In addition it could lead to the issue of small properties being the norm across the nation simply due to cost. While property taxes are potentially useful and are somewhat intuitive to a capitalist country I doubt you could build most or all of your budget around property taxes.
