the whole point of evolution is that it is guided by a variety of environmental conditions that arise naturally

the reason polar bears and other arctic animals have white fur is because their ancestors had a genetic mutation that gave them white fur, and that helped them survive in snowy environments while the dark furred ones were preyed upon or had more difficulty hunting since they were so much more visible.

No god required.
