I own two gas masks. A regular Israeli civilian safety gas mask I bought at a surplus store, and an old 1970s Vietnam era gas mask that looks like something out of Fallout.

You've probably heard, but don't use old gas masks at all and keep your filters up to date in new ones. The old ones will give you mesothelioma and the new ones degrade.
