the only reason they were wealthy in the first place was because of the enormous amount of land per capita. the land meant they could produce shitloads of beef to england and got rich off of that. but later britain didn't want anymore beef from them and so the gravy train ended. once their population grew, the wealth of the land was split between more and more people and that means the country gets poorer and poorer (same thing will happen to the US as it allows in more and more illegals). argentina never produced a damn thing that they could export except basic commodities like beef. now they are exporting soybeans. outside of europe, the US and east asia there are no other regions in the world that make new things. and you need inventors and entrepreneurs for a country to become rich.
