At this point it doesn't matter all that much. We've put so much methane and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere that warming will continue no matter what. If we stopped all greenhouse emissions right now the planet would still continue to get hotter. At this point it's just a matter of reducing emissions so climate change will only be bad and not catastrophic.

Climate change isn't that kind of conduit because it assumes that we literally have pure atmospheric control. There really aren't enough human beings to even being that type of industrial influence at this juncture. And we literally don't have data on that yet. It might look bad but it could get way worse, but again how can that ever happen if there is no full control over every factor atmospherically over the entire range of the planet? Hate to tell you but this rain isn't breaking any records.. They got 42 inches of rain in just 24 hours back in 1979.. And it rained for several days. Same setup, a tropical storm just parked its ass on the area and pissed half the gulf of Mexico down on them...

Of course since '79 a lot of suburbs full of McMansions and such have been built in the lower lying areas..

The rain will stop tommorrow, the flood will run off in 2 or 3 days.. The Rivers (None in Houston) will crest in a day and then start falling.. Houston isn't NOLA and Texas isn't Louisiana.
