Lads, many of us are moving over to BitChute....

Already there are many content creators on BitChute...and the best part is that it's decentralized...meaning ((they)) can never shut it down.

Also, the comments allow posting pictures and gifs....migrate and colonize:

>>
One day, Google will also ban/delete 4chan from their browser & search engine. Be ready folks.

How does it work? What do they store on my computer?

But for video streaming!
>>
>>139512190

it's currently not very normie friendly.
both in terms of it's front page content but more importantly because it's slow as fuck.
if it's p2p then speed might improve as it grows.

people on both sides are fucking desperate for a decent you tube alternative.

Just an example, newbie.

Daily Stormer was using Cloudflare, the same host for this website.

>>139512190
Honestly, OP. I legitimately suspect BitChute will blow WhoTube out of the water someday.

Not because it is any better, but because YouTube has decided to commit sudoku. And BitChute seems to be the place where all the most significant 'banned from YouTube' vids are still most readily available.
>>
>>139513687

>Shut it down

That's the thing....they can't.

It's decentralized. Even if the Jews try to flood it with CP.
>>
>>139513427
Those may be better. It's just a matter of, people are going to go where the people already are. DTube requires a steemit account which requires either a true id or, maybe bitcoin. It may be traceable. LBRY I haven't looked into. I'm fond of the idea of DTube actually, I love IPFS.

>>

No one tell /b/. I don't want BitChute ruined by being filled with cp
>>
>>139514174
Sure, but they need PornChute for that.

>>
>>139513629
Wot! I thought one 'gook moot' owned 4chan.
>>
1) Terrible name. The biggest thing holding it back might just be that name. Bitch-ute? Come on now

2) Disqus comments are dogshit. I don't want to make disqus profiles, especially because disqus is centralized and will be handling any censorship. I'd much prefer just having an anonymous textboard under each video instead. Something like what piratebay has, for example.

3) Not really sure how this works, tbqh. Desktop version seemed to work fine, but I recently watched a bitch-ute video on my android phone, and it took forever to load and play, and constantly stuttered and had buffering issues. This was on wifi, not mobile data, for reference. Not sure if this was just a one-time issue, but I'd like to see a bitch-ute mobile app instead.

4) duckduckgo for video searching is dogshit too.
>>
>>139513379
Ask the sites that are considered "hate" sites how that worked out? stormfront/dailystormer/redice
>>
>>139513970
LBRY allows fully anonymous content upload, just that you have to use a client to access it instead of a browser. I like that Steem currency gets allocated to users based on curation and contribution instead of a flat fee model though, just that steemit requires your phone number and email, which is personally identifiable info.
>>

>>
>>139514614
Yeah, just looking at the comment system filled me with disgust, even if it's more featured than LBRY and Dtube. I'm avoiding bitchute unless they adopt a decentralized comment system.
>>
>>139514614
1. If you say Bitch ute 3 times fast it sounds the same as bit chute
2. yes but this seems like a temporary measure since half the site is broken anyway

Both of these problems are made trvial by the fact that bitchute is designed to that anyone can simply copy their index and host a clone with all the same videos. I think there will end up being hundreds of websites based on this platform meaning it can never be killed.
>>
>>139512543

I'm going to keep posting until our launch.

In about 2 weeks, we will be inviting betas on to a new DECENTRALIZED platform, all YouTube functionality plus content curation, upload, chat, comments, etc.

Totally independent. Totally secure. Totally protected by an army of right wing lawyers who believe in freedom of speech.

Hang tight, boys, it's coming...
>>
>>139512190
Steem is already doing blockchain powered reddit and facebook
>>
>>139513042
It's about as fast as youtube for me. I use chrome and am on an apple laptop from about 2014. when i try using brave I run into problems.

As for normie-friendly. No alternatives to any norm can be "normie friendly", it's just what it is. It will improve if more people use it.
>>
>>139513113
How can it be "our new home" if it's just using disqus for comments?

If it were videos + 4chan-style anonymous posting, it'd be god-tier.

>>139515419
It's not about how it's said out loud. It's about how it's written. It includes bitch in the name. It's not good branding. Might as well be by a guy named "Mike Rotch". This may sound petty, but it's important because branding matters.

And I do hope that this platform idea is taken and imrpoved, either by the creator or something else. I firmly believe the future of the internet is decentralization if we want to survive.
>>
>>139516054

Please...please tell me this isn't a fucking LARPER..

I swear I would cum in my pants...please be real.....can you hint to us what the new website is gonna be so we can keep our eyes open for it?
>>
>>139516054
You mean fully anonymous content contribution and curation with steem-like features, using common browser technology and ipfs/blockchain technology? If so, count me in.
>>
>>139513042
The way to get the platform to grow is to have more and more moderate people getting kicked off youtube, which seems to be what's happening.
For example, the skeptics and alt-lite people getting kicked off YT would force them to go to sites like bitch-ute, taking their viewerbases with them. It'd force them to intermingle with white nationalists.

>>139516054
What did he mean by this? You're creating an alternative?
Also, is there any concern regarding privacy of your IP address? Seeding a non-kosher video and allowing your IP address to be exposed to everyone who looks at the video seems like not the best idea.
>>
>>139516239
>How can it be "our new home" if it's just using disqus for comments?

They'll tell disqus-ting to go fuck themselves if they get big enough.
>>
>>139513794
Your post makes a good point, but just fyi in case you didn't know they have a new Algerian domain that seems to be holding so far: dailystormer.al
>>
>>139513956
So you click on a video that looks normal only to find out the uploader's hidden a few seconds of CP at the end. Since it's a torrent, now you're busted for distributing it. Good luck with that.

There's a potential gold mine here somewhere..I just lack the funds to do it.
>>

Everything that you point out is correct but bitchute is the only video service that changes the monopoly paradigm.
>>
>>139516767

Can it be prevented at all?

Not LARPing. Been building this for a long time. Just got an email from my attorney yesterday that the examiner is about to approve the patent.

I'm releasing it here, hoping to find some pols that want to test and make UX suggestions. The working title is OPSOIC (open source intelligence community). I will reference it in the post, but we will be using another name when we launch.
>>
>>139516842
The point of decentralized Web is that you don't need millions of dollars to get it off the ground, although a little seed money to get some fast servers up to seed initial content out to attract users wouldn't hurt.
>>
>>139516900
I'm fully aware. I'm bringing these up as points of contention I have in the hopes that they will be on the developers' mind and be addressed.

Problems don't get addressed if no one brings them up. It's constructive criticism.

Once its uploaded, all fields are hashed and encrypted - it's a proprietary security labyrinth. Content can be encrypted at rest or in transit or both.
Basically, it's a new type of system - non-normalized and content centric. It was originally built for high security environs.

>>139516668
you could reupload videos that aren't copyrighted to fill up the site and get viewers. youtube was initially built up around people watching old shit that wasn't oc, but just put up there.

on another note, the real game is learning to subvert content hosters like youtube that have already sucked up all the talent. the point is usually to play by their rules in a way that doesn't allow them to counter you. if you can manage that you won't forever be running and you can control the conversation.

The question is how you manage to turn their censorship against them, and make a mockery of it, on their own site.

The problem is relevant to all P2P methods, but can be compensated for if the providers of the service also have seed funds to host other people's content on fast servers to attract new people. And they could incentivize others to host content by providing bonuses in currency and whatnot for extra 'curating'.

Plus, the thing about imageboards is that one particular site getting shut down doesn't mean shit. /pol/ is a mindset. As long as /pol/acks are alive, /pol/ still exists, because we'd just regroup at another website. We'd go to endchan, or bunkerchan, or any of the other dozens of alternatives.

Not quite. Vidme is fundamentally the exact same thing as youtube, and they'll end up censoring everyone if they got big enough anyway. Bitch-ute is decentralized and torrent-based, and it can't censor by design. So it's actually solving an important problem, rather than just being "youtube... but with a different CEO"

And it's actually good if we get Sargon and his fuccboi crowd kicked off YT and forced onto a platform like bitch-ute. Sarcuck's skeptic userbase is probably the most susceptible to redpilling if giving the right information and arguments. Forcing them to relocate to an alt-platform filled with uncensored white nationalists would be the ticket there.
>>
>>139522989
Sounds Iranian to me. Regardless, the guy is a free speech absolutist, and is into conspiracy stuff and such. Plus, his platform is decentralized. They can't censor even if they wanted to. That's the whole point; it's not up to one guy at the top.

Vidme will do the same when they monetize the platform in the future.

If there was a distribution system set up to reward curators for hosting content based on the amount hosted and the total amount of media distributed (how many people have you actually distributed content to), this would quickly gather support from the community. You know if you didn't make such a huge fuss over video and relied on far smaller file sizes like 64kb/s (because it's spoken, who cares) and written documents, all problems would be solved by how cheaper they are to host and serve from many different sites, infinite nearly, at once.

What happens if Bitchute get's shut down? You're back to square one. Rely on spreading things to countless servers and sites all over the place and there'll be too many sources for them to ever keep on top of.

Whether 100,000 people see it from one place, or 1000 people see it from 100 places doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, and if the format is small enough that they could then host a copy themselves, we've become far more stable in the long term.

I'm sure they'd eventually transition to an decentralized in-house or community-based system for comments eventually though, at least if they're smart.

Really though, the top three platforms right now, depending on how flexible the developers are, are bitchute, LBRY, and dtube. I'd put my money on LBRY, followed by anything in the steemit pool due to

1) the general and anonymous nature of LBRY

2) the innovative way to reward contributers and even curators on steemit

The idea of incentivized piracy was what I found really interesting. They denied up and down that that's what would happen, but offered no solutions as to how it would be prevented.

>>139529587
If their domain gets deregistered the IP will still work. The same is true of dailystormer, and honestly it's completely feasible as an end user to just bookmark an IP address.
>>
>>139521969
The easy solution to this is one web seed on their central server. They still have to hold one copy of each vid, but they don't have to have 5000 CDN servers across continents.
>>
>>139521969
If only there existed file formats which contain information that were far smaller, and could be presented on many servers and platforms at once, since the data could multiply many times with no impact to server costs?
>>
>>139530236
Or adopt a culture of hosting things ourselves in so many places that any attempt to do that will be pointless.

One site gets nuked? Go to another that keeps these files in their file section/archive.
>>
>>139528484
>>139524480

Well, the safest way to share videos is always on your own website: only you are in charge of it. They can shut down your domain in VERY grave cases, and there are just two of them by now, so you're still practically immune. Changing a server is always much easier, because the domain remains the same.

The problem is, the dumb masses prefer big, centralized sites with a lot of content. They're not willing to visit each individual site to watch your videos. They want it all at once.

Solution? Many remember the RSS format, when posts from different, separate blogs are mashed into a single feed. I think we definitely need something similar for videos: i.e. a catalogue, a hub or a feed of videos, each of which is stored on their own website. That way we can not only provide decentralization, but also make it very easy to adopt for normies. So, basically: decentralized videos and decentralized video comments with a single, shared format. A lot of separate sites will host the videos, and a few sites will serve as hubs, cataloguing them
>>
>>139530783
Sure, but a generalized, non-hosted system for implementing this would be preferable. Sort of like an internet version of word of mouth, where asking for information would consult multiple nearby sources.
>>
>>139530783
go make the better alternative then.
>>
bbbbrrrrraaaaaammmmpp!!! fuck google
>>
>>139530837
Or stop with the videos so none of this is a concern?

The "dumb masses" don't care about this anyway, so stop concerning yourself with them. If you're going to build any plan around them you've already set yourself up for failure.

If you just stopped trying to build every solution around video all this would be solved instantly, and we'd be far more mobile, and far harder to target due to the ease of copying entire sites in minutes (possibly seconds) rather than dealing with several GB (more likely 10s of GB) of video we can't put anywhere without charitable permission.
>>
>>139530837
Yeah, and of course, there may be many smaller video sharing sites, because not everybody is willing to launch a personal site to upload his videos. The difference is, those sites will only have a limited authority, controlling a narrow segment of all videos
>>
>>139531120
Why should I make your site with an archive of files you consider important? I've got my own site with files that I consider important. I've done my bit.

>>139531082
No system could do this better than a culture that makes a point of it. Have an essay or something you consider important? Host a copy yourself instead of linking it.
>>
>>139528936
because they wanted to reference their bitchin ute's

This alternative to youtube idea has been discussed to death but not in great depth, we thought about a solution just like bitchute but we always ran into the problem of peer IP's being exposed and encryption would require a central server, would require a client or plugin, would probably get attacked and taken down.

There has to be a way, maybe if we make it like piratebay, kickass etc. Anyone with the balls could act as a provider, but again it will need encryption and most normies aren't even going to fucking bother making the whole idea pointless...

We are going to have to accept the fact that the internet we once knew is going to die, it will be 100% controlled within 5 - 10 years, they will start making it illegal to exchange data in encrypted form before long, so say good bye to TOR, TOR will only be allowed when they want to use it as a weapon to beat state censorship of enemy states, not for joe average to circumvent spying, I believe this has already been done or is in the process.

CONTROVERSIAL OPINION:

They should have a curated and non-curated front page. Normies are going to have zero fucking interest using a site that has a bunch of dumb neonazi conspiracy shit on the front page. Curated page should be the default and show mostly normie and semi-edgy content at most.

-----------------

Less controversial opinions:

They need to get off their ass and create some simple tools for helping mirror vid torrents. Also those tools should help in automatically creating multiple versions of a video in different qualities, because the site only having one quality level is retarded.

Also an app is needed.

And a name change probably, 'bitchute' doesn't roll off the toungue well.

I have no problem watching these videos.
Not sure what britfag is complaining about. Better than vid.me and dtube actually.

Save the new one with non-mongoloid spelling.

Is BitChute having problems right now? I finally decided to try it, and then webtorrent loads up when I click on a video, and when it downloads the video there is no comments or anything, just the video taking up the full page. Then when I go back to the home page, the CSS styles are missing.

battlefield 1 forum? or what, can't remember

I don't think the goal should be to make a new site for normies to flock to. All monolithic platforms will eventually cause a problem. We should aim for dozens of bitchute clones with their own content themes. The web was better when it was diasporatic anyway.
>>
>>139513366
You can upload videos directly to bitchute, in which case viewers will have the video seeded to them from bitchute itself and anyone else who has the video open in their browser

This is a vimeo household boy show respect.

so were fucked

We want normies you autist.
That's how we grow.
>>
>>139541938
Obscure videos would practically never get seeded then. There needs to be monetization benefits to get people to seed and curate, or just make them seed any video they download like LBRY does.

Laughing at your life desu

>>139542101
>Youtube is a necessity
>It going to shit is somehow the end of the world
Sooner or later even the normies will start to hate it, and youtube will die anyway.
>>
>>139542212
The seeding load of the obscure videos will eventually have to be divided between bitchute itself and content creators who host files on their own sites. The typical user will spend most of his time watching non-obscure videos, in which case his uptake will pay for itself.

Best way to grow would be to get more and more tangentially-related people to go on bitch-ute.

First it's just WNs.
Then we get other race realists
Then we get civic nationalists
Then we get redditcucks
Then we get skeptic faggots
Then we get alex jones
Then we get normie channels

Basically, if these sort of people end up getting kicked off youtube, they'll be forced to move over to a place like bitch-ute. Their userbases will follow them there. While their users are there, they'll end up stumbling upon more "extreme" racist realist and white nationalist content too. We spread out from there.

tldr: get sarcuck and molymeme banned from youtube.

if Stormfront is gone and now youtube is pretty much axing the way for normies to actually hear another political opinion then how will normies ever know about the right?

whats stopping them from just getting rid off 4chan?

and if they get rid off 4chan, then what?

Either they bring their friends, or they get forced off youtube by the slippery slope of YT's censorship. And the more people that are forced into the same boat as us, the better.

That's also why you have people like Sarcuck of Mossad acting like total faggots and going after /pol/ and white nationalism. I mean, he's always been a faggot about this, but he's going hard on it right now. Why? Because he's scared that his NEET ass is going to be left without a channel and revenue if YT bans him, and so he's trying everything he can to go after us so that YT sees him as a good little goy and lets him stay.

I'd love nothing more than Sarcuck getting BTFO and forced to go over to bitchute.
