I get about 366 USD to attend university. Took me years to understand how spoiled I am.
Correction:
Takes other peoples money so you can go to college.
Also we (Netherlands) recently changed our system into a loan based one, because you eventually run out of other peoples money

Selbsterhalterstudium - you work for 5 years a normal job and you can study and get 900 €. No loan, nothing, you just have to finish your studies in an acceptable time.
We also dont have the American liberal arts retardation so it works out.

Just look at how much unpaid student loans there are. Why should we pay kids money to party their asses off and fail out after four years? If they graduate it's with a degree in some useless bullshit like art or genders studies. Fucking university is a joke in America. I didn't learn a fucking thing. The only thing I learned was how to teach myself, which, ironically I learned by teaching myself. College is bullshit in America. I learned more about my major studying for licensing exams than I ever did in school.

Are you "literally" kidding me? We have the most privileged university system in the world. Anyone, and I mean anyone, can get into an overpriced, $50,000/yr university and easily get loans to cover it. No matter your shit major. Before you say, "Yeah, well we have pay that back while the Danish get to go for FREE!" Remember, Denmark also doesn't have a retarded government backed loan system that allows schools to spend spend spend on amenities so these spoiled Millennials get to choose what 5-star resort they spend the next 4 years at instead of an actual quality education.
Want to know what happens when you go the European route?

... and so on.
Quit demanding university be like a 4 year deluxe vacation and maybe prices will drop some. Introduce price controls on these massively endowed universities if they are receiving government federal aid. If you're receiving financial aid from the government, out of MY wallet, you no longer get classified as a PRIVATE university. You are funded by the state and therefore should not be allowed to jack prices up to $50,000/yr so more tax payer money is spent satisfying your gluttonous appetite.
