the only long term social programs that work and are not just a constant resource drain are those that do not just provide the dependents with the means to live but give them something to work towards.

The premise of the ideas is that when there is an abundance of food we end up with more animals, not fat animals.

If we sunk 30billion into world hunger we would have more animals to deal with. They breed to the edge of what we give supports and would die off if we pull support.

Realistically to end world hunger what we need to do is pull all aid, let them die and then resettle to levels that are sustainable by themselves. They would still be at a level of hunger - as they breed to the maximum food allows - but there would be less of them and they would be strong and independent.

I'm not sure 30 billion would do the trick, but you have a good point. If I ever get rich I want to start a charity organization, or at least donate a lot of money to reputable organizations of charity that at least teach them farming and irrigation and that sort of thing. But I say we hand out male contraceptives to them. The overpopulation problem needs to be fixed, but from what I understand (and this is coming from a liberal media mind you), the reason Africans are having so many kids is because their children die off at such a young age many times and they want to raise their kids into adulthood like any parent so they overcompensate by having more kids. We might even have to create laws for preventing this (I know it sounds inhumane). Also don't forget we need to give them medicine and vaccines to stop all these easily-preventable diseases from occurring in their populations. But I'm not sure that would stop them. I say we invest in Africa and start bringing some money into it without ripping them off.

This. Some things you can't throw money at, it will just make it worse. If it were a white or eastern asian country then providing the money to help them would actually solve the problem....to bad they kinda already figured out the whole infrastructure/population thing. So they aren't going to starve anytime soon, and would only need the help during a disaster situation.
