Because they're the youth. Raise the voting requirements to married landowners again.

Like it said in 1984 the government uses distractions to channel the energy of the masses so they can have more controll, like herding sheep.
Distractions like cheap beer, video games football, shit think of how hyped up everyone got over the last boxing match people watching it who dont even care about boxing getting exited over it rather than giving a shit about politics. So that way we get leaders constricting their control slowly but slowly over the masses.
