I've only summed up one very particular type of tribalism. There are elements of the general Abrahamic mythos which are pretty unique to it and aren't commonly found in other 'tribes'. You're mistaking something you personally want due to the influence of your particular belief system, for something which every person on Earth wants. The ancient Aztecs, when they made human sacrifices to Quetzlcoatl in their temples, were not thinking of an end to bloodshed. Nor were any of the other warlike civilizations throughout history, who had a radically different worldview than the universalist Abrahamists do, and even a different conception of what it means to be 'human' (members of the outgroup were often not considered equal to members of the in-group in any way).

Your belief that all humans are equal is just that: a belief. Equal by what measure? Are all humans the exact same? They clearly are not, we are not identical to each other on an individual level or even on a group level. Your belief in equality is a value you've inherited from ideas passed down from the Enlightenment, which, in turn, was informed by Christian dogmas. But it is just a value, a metaphysical evaluation of the condition of man that may or may not have anything to do with reality.

Perhaps you would understand better if I used the phrase "values system" instead of "religion", though I tend to think they're basically one and the same in practice and that most people in the West have an overly restrictive definition of what a religion actually is.
