I'm a britbong in my earlier 20s and I've recently seen things like pic related passed around with comments asking why millennials know nothing about communism despite them knowing about the holocaust. I think that I can weight in on this.
Yes, we were taught about the holocaust and we weren't taught about communism. However, we weren't taught about fascism either, so why would we have been taught about communism? These sorts of things are for politics or economics classrooms, not high school history classes.
