Well it depends where you draw the line between personal freedom and societal obligations. Fascism is a very effective way to enforce societal obligations, but it comes at the cost of personal freedom.
Things like freedom of speech, freedom of association, right to bear arms etc. are all facets of personal freedom that we love, but then /pol/ will cry and stamp their feet about people exercising their personal liberty to be degenerates.
Fascism is effective, no doubt, but it's not a "good" or "bad" way of doing things, it just means you're enforcing things upon people against their will and disallowing any dissenting voices.

I'm not against fascism, per se, but I tend to lean more on the side of personal freedom (90s America) rather than societal obligation (Japan). That said, most people are fucking idiots and a certain amount of elitist leadership is necessary to stop everything falling to bits.

I'll assume we are talking about Fascism and not National Socialism. Economically speaking, it's the embracing of crony-capitalism. In cultural terms, it's the state enforcing of religious, moral, and social values. Fascist states also revolve around heavy handed policing, and aren't quite averse to military adventurism. The only major divergence is the focus on multiculturalism to the detriment of the native majority. No. For starters, 4chan isn't /pol/. There are lefties all over this site. /tv/ and /v/ might have some crossover with /pol/, but the other boards hate /pol/. I accidentally triggered someone on /tg/ once with Pepe; they started screaming and ran away. Secondly, normies don't give a shit about 4chan. When normies think of 4chan, they think of /b/, which they imagine as the bottom of the Internet. Normies have picked up meme culture, but their conception of it is a low resolution derivative. The two big differences being that they only really think of memes as image macros, not words, phrases, image templates, wordless images, etc. The other difference is they don't see memes as an anonymous creation that becomes adopted by the collective, but instead as an individual's original contribution and the popularity of it being unimportant. I'm sure we've all heard someone say, "Did you see the meme I made," or something along those lines from a family member or coworker on Facebook. Thirdly, I'm pretty sure most people are turning conservative from the boom in right wing political commentators on YouTube, not /pol/.
