This is only true if your definition of educated is just about any degree, including brown paper fermentation studies.

If you actually check for the highest IQ and most useful degrees such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, electrical engineering, computer science, etc. you will see there is about a 60 - 70% support for right wing ( aka freedom of thought, expression ) values. Not particularly conservative. Substract that and you will still see there is more support for conservatism than liberalism within these circles.

It is much the same in silicon valley. If you would talk in person to the people who do the engineering and programming they tend to hold more right-wing views. While the upper management is forcing left-wing views because they immensely profit from H1B slavery.

Urbanism is a literal cancer that turns people into mindless liberals and socialists. Urban enviroments feeds the hyper-materialism that is ravaging our society, and that materialism is what makes people into mindless consumers, which leads to socialistic and ultra-liberal tendencies and sympathies. You don´t have to plan ahead or face the full severity of your actions, like rural people and farmers have to. You also don´t feel connected to the people living around you. A person living in a city with 10 million inhabitants is much more likely to be lonely than someone in a small village of 200 people, where everyone knows everyone. That void left by those lack of close contacts is what people try to fill with mindless consumerism, promiscuity and socialism. Just look at history, every major liberal/socialist revolution, from the French to the Russian, was carried out and supported almost exclusively by urban populations. Rural people tend to always be more conservative, nationalist, patriotic and religious.

TL;DR urbanism leads to moral decay.

I live in a upper class neighborhood that's 90% white and I'd say that it's mostly republicans here, and almost no one here makes less than 100k, most of them make much more. Just because you went to college it doesn't make you wealthy or smart and it doesn't mean your opinion is better.

Exactly. And I've lived in both situations. Living in a city is fucking hell, just from a financial and economic standpoint. Don't even get me started on the "spiritual" (for lack of a better word) difference. In the city, everyone is just zombies. Culturally, spiritually dead. They're just automatons in a neverending cycle of working, spending excess money at bars to fuck useless slags, and then rinse and repeat. It's just a death spiral. There's nothing going on there. There's no sense of community.
