I'm curious about the same thing. One of the most common criticisms of Islam I see is that "women are oppressed" which quite honestly is one of its strongest and most admirable qualities.

Islam as a dogma isn't bad at all, in fact it's what the west needs. Strong religious conservatism and homogeny.

The only real criticism of Islam that it's a foreign ideology and having been Christians in Europe for thousands of years it's a little off putting to welcome a new cultural and religious ideology with open arms. That's really the only reason to dislike Islam, because it's culturally incompatible with us right now.

If Christianity would make a comeback and restore conservatism in the western world that would be ideal, however that probably won't happen and the future belongs to Islam.
