The point with the demiurg is that he is simply disinterested, not evil. Evil implies an intent. So a nature that just does not care, that does not care at all, at all - is much more colder. At least an evil nature would enjoy your suffering. Real nature doesn't even do that.

The demiurge is not evil per se. if anything he is just misguided. The poor little guy wanted to be a creator like God but he couldn't do it perfectly so we got stuck with a universe full of suffering. That being said we have a spark of the divine and we can rejoin him if we find the gnosis.

That is a metaphor for philosophy, it's not literal. It's why the metaphor maps onto Kant and Hegel's metaphysics so well. The unknowable true God and the demiurge are metaphors for noumena and phenomena. Everything Kant did was building on a Greek framework, we just don't teach philosophy for shit in American universities anymore.

all this nonsense about good and evil. how can you not see that they do not exist outside of human context? there has not been one "good" or "evil" person alive, just biological machines moving a physically determined universe. you do not have free will. cause and effect, unbroken, stemming from the big bang until this day. your actions are "predetermined" in the sense that you are responding to your environment. intuition and consciousness arise from biological and therefore physical sources.
