Lads, everyone is moving over to BitChute.

It's a youtube alternative that is on the torrent network, which means they can NEVER shut it down.

Start opening channels and uploading, this is the future of video streaming:

But isn't the problem with any competing site, that there's no money to be made in video hosting/stream. YouTube loses money.

Bandwidth costs > ad revenue.
>>
>>139264649
The money either comes from advertisers (not gonna happen with us), or with subscriptions (can't see many people signing up for this like they do NetFlicks). It's the self-imposed reliance on video that will kill us. We really need to wean ourselves off it, because we'll be facing problems along the way, not just in terms of bills, but also its been established that we can't trust domain registers or hosts either.
>>
Bitchute will grow rapidly. I strongly suggest getting an account there, even if you primarily still use YT.
>>
>>139253083

Just some thoughts:
>Youtube needs content makers
>content makers want money for their work
>why not just harrass all those big YouTube stars regardless of their content, just flagging their content
>more stress for content makers, they are going to be pissed and demand a policy change
>YouTube is forced to react
>if YouTube does not react those content makers are going to look for alternatives

For example all those music videos. 90% could be classified as sexist thanks to libtards standards. Rihanna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift...
>>
>>139266522
Do you really think these ad-friendly channels wont be white-listed.
>>
>>139266522

Won't work, YT will simply ignore any reports since these channels (e.g. VEVO) effect their revenue stream. Similar to how Twitter won't delete accounts of popular celebrities & politicians no matter what they post.
>>
By the way, this is the front page of BitChute right now.

Ah. Never heard of surfeasy. Assumed it be some AOL thing or something. An no. Not American hiding. Real norbro and not negro. And yes. A p2p based site concerns me until enough tech-gurus have eaten through the underlying technology of bitchute and found nothing of concern regarding my privacy using my pc as a server for the videos I watch.
>>
>>139279515

I agree to an extent. Having your own PC used as a server is disconcerting, but is it any worse than allowing one evil, monolithic company to dominate video communication across the internet? Especially considering that this same company keeps extremely detailed logs of everything that you do and can view your email in an instant, using your PC as a server (after the technology has been verified safe) seems like a pretty good alternative.

My concern is that sharing your IP with the world could have more serious personal consequences than being exposed to targeted ads from a tech behemoth. People should use this site with caution and, as they say in their faq, hide behind a VPN. If you don't use proxy or vpn, you should not use a p2p based site until they state they use anonymous decentralized encrypted p2p.

Lets use inverse tactics against them, they hate our religion so much because their religion teaches them to kill all none Muslims, seriously just start spamming Christianity, not hate.
>>
>>139253083
How do you access content does the uploader host it? I guess it /could/ work for professional youtubers to host their own content on a personal server but it sounds like the smaller you are the more difficult it is to maintain your data and the smaller the pool of others seeding it.

If you try to download something on Rarbg for example you can find super popular stuff but things that are more obscure or haven't been seeded in years are virtually impossible to get once they're gone.
>>
>>139280925
We need a browser that has encrypted BitTorrent video site tech built in, that hides your IP by using relays just like Tor.
>>
>>139253083
I don't get this P2P thing.

Last time i used torrents in the mid/late-2000s, it was quite normal for only one or two people in the world to be seeding a particular file.

As such, files often disappeared over time and the download speeds were awful.

How does BitChute handle these problems? How does it ensure retention of videos and a decent transfer rate?
>>
>>139281208
I'm pretty sure it's hosted both on the server and via p2p, so videos with a lot of viewers don't use much of their bandwidth but videos with few viewers don't go dead
>>
>>139264649
that's why it runs on torrents, minimal bandwidth costs for the website, instead the bandwidth costs are distributed among users.

I have a private, 2200 video long music playlist on Jewtube that I have been building for years and it is the only thing holding me back from leaving that site forever.
Does anyone know some way I can download or export the entire playlist without the massive amount of effort it would take to do that manually?
>>
>>139281494
So this probably works as a sliding scale?

The cost of hosting popular videos is mostly distributed across the P2P network, and the cost of less popular videos are mostly shouldered by the site and are server-based?

That's still gonna require a fucking massive data centre. How many shitty, low-view videos are on YouTube? Probably tens of millions, meaning that on BitChute they wouldn't be particularly well-seeded.

I'd be interested to see if there's any guarantee from BitChute that an uploaders video will ALWAYS be available in perpetuity.

Three problems spring to mind immediately:
1) anyone who cares to can see what you're watching,
2) there are almost certainly security holes in the browser, and you can be attacked by anyone who cares to, and
3) anyone who cares to can get your IP address, so they can attack your system at the OS level for as long as you continue using that IP address.

Yes, these (aside from the browser being a dumpster fire) are all problems with bittorrent in general, not particular to BitChute, but when we're looking specifically for ways to publish hot political content, this is accepting a serious disadvantage.

Another issue: people aren't on youtube just to communicate, but to make money. Youtube's not taking down a lot of videos, but they're doing a lot of demonetization. This isn't a solution to that.

One last thought: if a lot of political youtubers go to BitChute, they can give it the same branding problem as Gab, which is that it gets full of right-wing extremists and then the normies don't want to go there and it stays as fringe as /pol/.

I wonder how BitChute will fare when all the politically charged stories loose momentum and the yt cenzorship outrage is over. Bitchute can only survive if the content there can stand up to youtube's and right now most of the videos are edgy alt-right commentaries.

Right. The videos are still on a centralized site, so you can watch them if no one is seeding them. I don't get it. Who seeds the torrents?
>>
>>139298412
People who are currently watching the videos.
>>
>>139295572
Well, it's a torrent. You can seed your own videos, and ask your followers to do it for you, but it's transparent for normies, who don't have to know what a torrent is.

...except, how do they find it? There's nothing to stop BitChute delisting videos from their site. The only thing that's peer-to-peer is the video download, not the search, not the view counter, not the channel page, not the URL.

You can put it up on multiple sites that all host the same torrents. This is an advantage, but it's no replacement for not having your videos messed with on youtube.

youtube is actually successful because it runs on google's infrastructure, and because it has a good mobile app.

google's infrastructure is the most important.

Pewdiepie already directly denounced us in a video last week after the left tried spinning a story that he attended the rally (they found a picture of someone that looked like him there). He has given up and just played us like a damn fiddle. He is a cuck, and always will be, and all that "he will redpill the generation" shit ended up being a crock full of shit, now that they all saw him just give up and apologize for all the stuff he said / did.
>>
By the way, everyone, my takeaway from this is that Firefox and Chrome will now let websites connect you to other random users without telling you or getting your permission, and this is on by default, and there's no option listed in the normal settings to turn it off. You either have to dig into "about:config" or install an add-on.

I installed "Disable WebRTC" for Firefox, which lets you toggle it on and off with a button, and I strongly recommend for everyone else to also do this.
>>
>>139299402
yes, but google strapping the entire back end to it's incredibly large infrastructure allowed youtube to grow to it's current state.
>>
>>139299571
It's not so much "infrastructure" as ads.

Google loaded down youtube with tons of ads, and also started sharing the ad revenue with uploaders.

>>139267567

>>139274644

He already made a video a week ago where he publicly apologized and then went as far as "denouncing" us, and all other "racists". He even promised to stop with the "hat speech jokes" and pretty much started sucking (Them) off. He never red-pilled a damn thing, and those of you who though he would bring in the next generation just got BTFO. Also, fun fact, PDP is already on Twitch, and the numbers just do not compare, so he stays primarily on JewTube, due to the numbers he gets there, as he is already rich, but wants more money, and, more than anything else, more fame. You gotta give him a reason to move to a new site, and one of those reasons needs to be consistently high views, which, as we know, just is not possible on other sites.
>>
bump. we need a youtube alternative. vidme is inevitably going to cuck if it gains any traction. bitchute won't. No, we don't need to sperg out any further. This is IT. This is the end. >Used manage hosting providers at first. Living off credit cards so it was the only way.
>Managed hosting can't scale with you. You can't control hardware or make favorable networking agreements.
>So they went to a colocation arrangement. Now they can customize everything and negotiate their own contracts.
>Use 5 or 6 data centers plus the CDN.
>Videos come out of any data center. Not closest match or anything. If a video is popular enough it will move into the CDN.
>Video bandwidth dependent, not really latency dependent. Can come from any colo.
>For images latency matters, especially when you have 60 images on a page.
>Images are replicated to different data centers using BigTable. Code looks at different metrics to know who is closest.

that's from a post on youtube's architecture in 2008. now youtube runs entirely on google's hardware, which looks like this.

>>

allow 4chan to embed and we'll talk
>>
>>139300712
Short answer: not yet.

Long answer: Filecoin is only going to be released in 6-12 months according to their roadmap, so the main problem (unseeded videos die) can't be addressed until then. The required machinery to make such sites available is very new and almost (not quite) implemented in ipfs-js. Most people are waiting for that to do their sites with it.

Huh... Wikipedia's telling me that Google bought Youtube as early as 2006, when it was only founded in 2005.

>>
>>139266253
done
>>
>>139301348
It might be correct. Youtube was bought by google but they hardly changed anything for about a year or two. So it felt like youtube was youtube for about four years really, then it devolved. One of the first things to go was video replying. there used to be video threads which encouraged conversation between people and often resulted in more debates. Now there are just people speaking to their screens mostly. Then the gradual changes were rolled out bout 2x per year till we have what we have now. It will keep changing no doubt and not for the better.

I uploaded a video named "When the goyim drops a penny" like 15 minutes ago. It was on the front page under "latest", and got like 60 views quickly. Then all of a sudden it vanished from the "latest" page.

All the other videos are still there. It was between "Little Shoes" and "JUST FEEL".

I think with video it's not the small files that only have a couple people watching one at a time that poses the big issue, that's easily hosted by the server, it's the big videos getting thousands of views a minute that will benefit the most from this and help offset the load and the extra space can host the smaller videos without issue.

BitChute seems pretty good so far after using it.

The question is, can other "peers" see your IP?
>>
There are a lot of unanswered questions about BitChute that need to be cleared up before I feel comfortable using it.

1. How can they guarantee retention of old videos?
2. What gets stored on my device?
3. What is my connection used for?
4. How do you become a seeder or a peer?

My guess is that they are trying to leverage the idea that 90% of traffic goes to the popular new videos which could easily be helped out by a p2p mechanism. However I never use video sites for that, I'm always off in my own corner watching obscure old videos and I am not sure how p2p can help that at all.
>>
>>139328380
As far as I know, any video that is not "actively" being shared is somewhat centralized as to keep it available. And the more peers a video has, the more it acts decentralized - at least that that is my understanding of the system. I could be wrong about that.

You become a sender/peer automatically when you watch the video (but you can only see the statistics of uploaded/downloaded and peer count when you're logged in)

Question for the cyber hackers of 4chan

How decentralised is BitChute? Surely the accounts and comment system are centralised?

Is it like a Piratebay, a website which points to links?

It looks way more promising than vidme, p2p is the answer to censorship, not server farms in California. I first heard about BitChute from a Ryan Faulk video.
>>
>>139342412
>How decentralised is BitChute?
As far as I can tell from the discussions about it, it depends on the popularity of the video. More viewers = more peers = more decentralization. I think for smaller, lesser viewed videos where no one is sharing, they have to be centralized or else no one can view them. So I think it just scales based on viewership.

P2P technology discussion aside, the website is used pretty much like youtube and any other video sites. You don't have to use a torrent client or anything like that..

He has serious money at stake, so yes, unlikely to migrate. What he and any other content creator ought to do is look for mirror sites. If youtube sees many of its "stars" exploring alternatives and establishing hot sites to jump to it may give them pause.

Let's keep in mind its CEO is a female sjw named Susan Wojcicki (Pole bruvs, wtf?!) so anything that embarrasses her humiliates all of womankind.

BTW, someone has been editing wikipedia: "Susan Diane Wojcicki is an American technology executive. She is the current CEO of YouTube and is best known for her censorship of right wing videos."

This is true though

you like the gay color scheme eh? Does the censorship turn you on too?

PlanetPrison should move there too.

So how do I browse what videos are out and the playlists of the authors?
>>
What ever video hosting service is chosen, it needs to have lots of normie friendly content like cat videos and gaming videos. Normies don't want to see Evalion sperging out about race and iq.

BitChute seems to be getting quite a few things of what you mentioned. Cute cats and vidya content.

People need to tone down the "HITLER WAS RITE!!" meme content so the site takes off.
>>
>>139347990
we can just repost the golden youtube videos on there, example: 'JUDAISM INTENSIFIES' or 'le happy merchant song'
>>

Indeed it is. How long that description will be allowed to remain is another thing.
>>
>>139348398
Or you could not do that.

Yet.
>>139348228
Realistically, I highly doubt normies are going to flock to a website called bitchute anyway. The name is too weird.

Just post comments on youtube stating your want 4 of them to be your wives.

This is why we are screwed. You assholes are more concerned about your next spot to jerk off to trap porn instead of coming up with real world solutions. They will just take over that site as well......

What you guys are missing is that if certain characters actually use censorship, it is beyond naive to think the censorship won't touch your newly chosen service. If they easily ban and delete videos on YouTube, what should stop them from banning whole services as hate-speech-platforms or whatever? What should stop them from threatening and blackmailing ISPs into revealing their subscriber data to leftist authorities or guys like Google for doxxing? Nothing. Look at other countries, shit's only getting worse. Globally, the Web becomes less and less free and more and more censored. Censorship will not stop anywhere, banning whole services and persecuting users loom imminent ahead.

The only method for evading persecution is switching to a completely decentralized Internet. Whic h is doable, BUT to enjoy decent speed it qould require literally millions of nomies to participate, which they are very reluctant to. Actually, more reluctant then ever, since this'll require a little effort while majore guys like google and Co. have made web experience almost effortless - at the cost of complete surveillance of course, but stupid and lazy normies are barely concerned.

>You become a sender/peer automatically when you watch the video (but you can only see the statistics of uploaded/downloaded and peer count when you're logged in)

It streams very well. I'm watching a vid with 6 peers and it's free flowing with no lag, buffering, or pauses. I'm downloading at about 250KB.

I absolutely love this.
Fuck Google. FUCK EM.

Zeronet has a few thousand on their sub. 0chan has ~200 seeds I think.

I really wish you (((redpilled))), shekels chasing faggots would wait a bit before spamming a new platform with your shit.

Nothing turns off normies and keeps things from growing like a front page full of neckbeard faggots, ranting about the Jews. Try a little tact and subtlety for once.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
