I also wonder if isntant gratification culture is giving an impulse to identity politics. People who are used to likes and so probably are more likely to believe that the inequity of outcome is unfair. The lack of patiente also plays a role, for sure, specially when you realized that all great rewards require really hard work and for a long time. Trump's agenda is toothless because the Judiciary and Congress are not supporting it, and there is no political will to decisively navigate and resolve the Brexit scenario among any of the parties because they didn't expect it to succeed in the first place. Brexit mind you, was only voted for in the first place to keep out the immigrants. The UK, of course, is still bringing foreigners into the country, just from Pakistan instead of Poland.

These of course being the same Pakistanis who have literally been gang-raping British Children in almost every town in the country for 30 years and no one did or said anything because it was "racist" to stop them.
