we had a talk about a school shooter once in highschool and we were all told to hide behind a table at the far side of the room.

We were told the best thing to do is to try and fight back, so I asked why I wouldn't be better off standing by the door with my knife that I had carried every fucking day for 4 years and lent to various teachers on multiple occasions. They gave me two days of in school suspension for having the knife (its a small town, literally everyone has a knife clipped in their pocket).

It's fucking retarded and I swear they want us to die.

Oh, and a very important part I left out, we had this school meeting because a month earlier we actually had an active shooter problem. He wasn't at the school, but he shot someone a mile down the road and they panicked. The entire ordeal went something like this.

unrelated note, but fuck me, a little panic in the air and girls who wouldn't give you the time of day are suddenly flocking to you if your not a blubbering idiot

>orders come down from the office that we are moving everyone to the auditorium
>walk us past 50 yards of glass walls
>we are all in the auditorium now
>an hour goes by
>we are now moving to the cafeteria
>walk us past the same windows
>walk us past an additional glass hallway
>cafeteria is a circle that is almost all windows
>see our parents
>they have the parents outside lined up along the wall across from the cafeteria
>we had to pick our parents out and the principal would go fetch them
>eventually we all get to go home

they literally had them lined up like sitting ducks and kept us "safe" behind glass windows because the shooter might have been pretending to be a parent to get in the school.
