>Christ gave no primacy to Peter

>Christ gave no power to any man to work as a conduit between men and God for the forgiveness of sins

Gospel

Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi and
he asked his disciples,
"Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"
They replied, "Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah,
still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
Simon Peter said in reply,
"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Jesus said to him in reply,
>ORTHOBROS PAY ATTENTION
"Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah.
For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
And so I say to you, you are Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my church,
and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
>PROTESTANTS PAY ATTENTION
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;
and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Then he strictly ordered his disciples
to tell no one that he was the Christ.

THREADLY REMINDER

There is literally nothing you can do that wold benefit you & your country than becoming a Catholic priest. Saw someone in the last thread say he was contemplating it, but thought getting married & having kids would be better for the West. This is wrong for these reasons:

As a priest you (obvious spiritual elements aside):
- Depending on your parish, have anywhere from 100 to over a 1,000 people listening to you every Sunday. Even more coming to you for baptisms etc. This gives you more of a reach to instill strong values, encourage people to have more children etc than you'll ever have as non-priest
- You're also likely to have at least one school over which you automatically become the head governor. Allowing you to implement certain practices in that school (more focus on reading the Catechism, teaching the evils of modern liberalism etc)
- You automatically become part of a brotherhood that is spread throughout the globe. Making it easier for networking & getting people involved in campaigns etc

tl;dr if you're not married, give serious consideration to the priesthood

Hey, Catholic bro, I grew up Catholic but never undertook confirmation. I strayed away a bit after joining the Army. I began lurking here a few years ago and after getting out of the Army considered returning to the Church, but never quit got around to it. A few months ago I began to notice your posts and they convinced me to finally return. I recently (Easter) was confirmed in the Church ( My name is Sebastian) and would like to say Thank You for all that you do. Your posts have been an inspiration to me.

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

"saved through faith" well it looks like you don't have to do any works. "gift of God" you don't work for gifts you just accept them otherwise it isn't a gift. "not of works" well that's pretty clear you don't need to do works. "lest anyman should boast" just like the guys in
Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.(see John 6:38-40 for the Father's will)
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
It looks like those people were boastimg and relying on their works "done many wonderful works" AND they had faith "in thy name". But Jesus still told them to fuck off.
Looks like relying on your works like orthodox and catholics do has you NOT enter Heaven

Matthew 13

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Your brother's right & you're right to do it. It has fallen out of habit, but it's correct. We bow to the tabernacle when 'Jesus Christ' is said (or simply 'Jesus' as in the Hail Mary' because it's a reverent way of acknowledging he is present here, in the tabernacle

No. Different congregations have different traditions. If you bow and no-one else does it just tells the other people at mass you're probably from a different congregation

Jesus sais the Father Himself works and is working.
Doing God's will involves works, especially works of charity. But these are fruits and effects of faith and love and faith is the cause of them, and faith itself is a gift of God.

> A bow of the head is made when the three Divine Persons are named to gether and at the name of Jesus, Mary, and the saint in whose honor Mass is celebrated.

St. Paul teaches that the rock is Jesus Christ:
>And all ate the same supernatural food and all drank the same supernatural drink. For they drank from the supernatural Rock which followed them, and the Rock was Christ.
>1 Corinthians 10:3-4

Even St. Peter, in his own words, teaches that the rock/stone (KEPHA in Aramaic, the language that Jesus spoke) on which Jesus will build his Church is Jesus Christ himself:
>Come to him, to that living stone, rejected by men but in God’s sight chosen and precious; and like living stones be yourselves built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
>1 Peter 2:4-5

In 1309, the seat of the Papacy was moved from Rome to Avignon (France). Seven Popes were seated in Avignon until the seat was moved back to Rome in 1377. The entire justification for papal supremacy is based on the claim that the Pope is the Bishop of Rome with an unbroken line of succession of Bishops of Rome from St. Peter (the first Bishop of Rome)... Except that line of succession was broken nearly seven centuries ago during the Avignon Papacy. The Papist Church is a false church.

>>139242478
That's ridiculous. The Pope didn't stop being the bishop of Rome because he resided in Avignon.
>>
>>139242773
What about this?
The cross of Saint Peter predates the upside down cross used by satanists.
>>
>>139242773
The Pope uses saint Peter's cross sometimes. Saint Peter was crucified upside down because he did not believe he was worthy to suffer the same manner of death as his beloved and divine Master.
>>
>>139242861
Six pointed stars are found in some of the oldest churches. They may not even intend a reference to Judaism in those cases, but even if they did, it may serve or intend to remind the Church of her holy roots in the Apostles, prophets and patriarchs from Abraham on to Christ.
>>
>>139242999
Nothing you won't know. But I'm glad to know you're on the way to confirmation anon.

These are the effects of confirmation as per the Catechism

1302 It is evident from its celebration that the effect of the sacrament of Confirmation is the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit as once granted to the apostles on the day of Pentecost.

1303 From this fact, Confirmation brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace:
- it roots us more deeply in the divine filiation which makes us cry, "Abba! Father!";
- it unites us more firmly to Christ;
- it increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us;
- it renders our bond with the Church more perfect;
- it gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross:

Recall then that you have received the spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of right judgment and courage, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear in God's presence. Guard what you have received. God the Father has marked you with his sign; Christ the Lord has confirmed you and has placed his pledge, the Spirit, in your hearts.
1304 Like Baptism which it completes, Confirmation is given only once, for it too imprints on the soul an indelible spiritual mark, the "character," which is the sign that Jesus Christ has marked a Christian with the seal of his Spirit by clothing him with power from on high so that he may be his witness.

1305 This "character" perfects the common priesthood of the faithful, received in Baptism, and "the confirmed person receives the power to profess faith in Christ publicly and as it were officially (quasi Ex officio)."122

According to the Code of Canon Law, a bishop must reside in his own diocese and cannot be away from it for a period longer than one month nor be absent from it on Christmas Day, Holy Week, Easter Sunday, Pentecost, or Corpus Christi:
>Can. 395 §1 The diocesan Bishop is bound by the law of personal residence in his diocese, even if he has a coadjutor or auxiliary Bishop.
>§2 Apart from the visit 'ad limina', attendance at councils or at the synod of Bishops or at the Episcopal Conference, at which he must be present, or by reason of another office lawfully entrusted to him, he may be absent from the diocese, for a just reason, for not longer than one month, continuously or otherwise, provided he ensures that the diocese is not harmed by this absence.
>§3 He is not to be absent from his diocese on Christmas Day, during Holy Week, or on Easter Sunday, Pentecost and Corpus Christi, except for a grave and urgent reason.
>§4 If the Bishop is unlawfully absent from the diocese for more than six months, the Metropolitan is to notify the Holy See. If it is the Metropolitan who is absent, the senior suffragan is to do the same.

You might find this interesting. Details the type of priests ordained in Frances. There is a huge shift to the traditional orders

>The changes also mean shifts in the overall picture. In 2010, French diocesan seminarians accounted for two-thirds (66%) of all seminarians preparing for the priesthood in France. With the foreign seminarians who studied for French dioceses, their share amounted to 80 per cent. The seminarians of the priestly communities of tradition accounted for 15.3 per cent of the total number. The Communauté St. Martin had a share of 4.7 percent.

>In 2017, the picture is clearly different: the French diocesan seminarists now account for only 58 percent of all seminarians who are covered. Together with the foreign seminarians for French dioceses, their share is 69.7 percent. The proportion of the priestly communities of tradition has increased to 18.8 per cent, and that of the Communauté St. Martin even to 11.5 per cent.

The pope should know that authority should ensure by morally acceptable means the security of society and its members. It is the basis of the right to legitimate personal and collective defense. That's LITERALLY in the Catholic Catechism for the role of authority in relation to migration. The compilation of Catholic teaching.

Pope Francis not even giving a damn about Catholic Social Teaching here. What the hell.

We should be seeking homes for them within their land so to amend their displacement explicitly rather than simply make their displacement as comfortable as possible.
It is entirely insane and a poor political decision to immediately default to open borders and mass migration. There is more going on that this displacement and you ignore the dignity of the people who make up those neighborhoods that you head into if you do not seek to defend national security.

As somebody who grew up Catholic, I really wish that the church would be what you all want it to be: A bastion of tradition, conservative values and a sort of bulwark against this modern & progressive craziness but the sad truth is it is the exact opposite. The church is filled with cowards who refuse to take a stand and would rather go along with the world to appear nice (see also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxrIjE-WNVA ) and to make sure that they are sure to not offend anybody. The rest are uber-liberal and hope that the church will "modernize" to go with the time. Something like SSPX is the exception and at this point might as well be a different denomination all together.
I don't understand how anybody can look at the state of the Catholic church today and not come to the conclusion that it is wholly devoid of the Holy Spirit.

You should bow your bead whenever His name is said, at Mass or elsewhere.

Read about Church history, the Church Fathers, the Seven Ecumenical Councils, and the Bible (I recommend the Orthodox Study Bible because it does not omit any books like Protestant Bibles do and the notes and commentary are from the Church Fathers from the early centuries of the Church rather than contemporary revisionists and Jesuit "scholars"). Once you do this you'll realize that the Orthodox Church is the true Church. Even the Divine Liturgy celebrated in the Orthodox Church is unchanged from the 4th century. You'll be worshipping in the exact same manner as Christians from Apostolic times.

Many Orthodox call themselves of the true church and so do many Catholics. All were under Bishops in ancient times and they were united in Christendom. Now do we let the Papal office or the Filioque divide us in the human world with the spread of Globalist secularism, atheism and neopaganism? We should beware of modern ecumenism though we need to come together because we already are.

Thanks, this looks interesting. I'll definitely look into it. It's really sad to see Anglicanism in this sort of state of limbo, though. It gets shat on by everyone but it has a very rich history and it's sad to see what's happening. I would rather it die or reunite with the RCC than have to watch it linger around. As it is already there's so much division within Anglicanism, and now with many people leaving and the church's willingness to throw away its traditions in favour of progressiveness, it's kind of hard to justify it existing. Ah well.

> Russian Orthodox Christians who maintain the liturgical and ritual practices of the Russian Orthodox Church as they existed prior to the reforms of Patriarch Nikon of Moscow between 1652 and 1666. Resisting the accommodation of Russian piety to the contemporary forms of Greek Orthodox worship, these Christians were anathematized, together with their ritual, in a Synod of 1666-1667, producing a division in Russia between the Old Believers and those who followed the state church in its condemnation of the Old Rite.

Daily reminder that "phyletism" is a fake heresy invented by Turkish rentboys.

http://www.tradyouth.org/2016/04/mrj_2016-04-19/

>This “heresy” exists only in their imagination and this broadcast deals with the development of this imaginary heresy and explains how it refers to the economic interests of the Greek elite. Ruling over Slavic societies, these elites, in union with the Turkish occupiers, bought and sold Orthodox dioceses like business investments.

>When the Bulgarians had enough and when Russia had damaged the Ottoman State such that the Slavs could be free again, the Church of these lands threw out the Greek financiers and replaced them with actual Orthodox bishops.

>In a panic, the financiers of the Ottoman State called a “council” in 1872 to condemn this on the grounds of “phyletism” that is, that ethno-nationalism was forbidden as a foundation for the church. That the Orthodox church is organized according to ethnic membership apparently did not occur to them.

>“Phyletism” is not a heresy. The Russian, Serbian, Romanian, Bulgarian and Alexandrian churches rejected this at the time. It is a “heresy” only to the alienated, bourgeois Orthodox frauds in the Antiochian jurisdiction in America.

No because the third miracle of Fatima says clearly that the Vatican will fall into the Great Apostacy (become satanic) and it'ss a Catholic miracle.

There's a second clause to Fatima concenring Russia , that if she is not conacrated to the Virgin Mary, she will chastise humanity (WW3). This is obvious to Orthodox as Russia has many nukes and the Theotokos is the patroness of weapons, an honor long overdue to Russia.

The Early Church Fathers taught that a legitimate marriage lasted to death. And if separation became necessary a person was to remain single as long as the former spouse was alive. This was not a matter of Church law per-se but a direct result of the words of Jesus: “Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery” (Luke 16:18).
Hermas

What then shall the husband do, if the wife continue in this disposition [adultery]? Let him divorce her, and let the husband remain single. But if he divorces his wife and marries another, he too commits adultery (Shepherd 4:1:6 [A.D. 80]).

Justin Martyr

In regard to chastity, [Jesus] has this to say: If anyone look with lust at a woman, he has already before God committed adultery in his heart. "And, whoever marries a woman who has been divorced from another husband, commits adultery." According to our Teacher, just as they are sinners who contract a second marriage, even though it be in accord with human law, so also are they sinners who look with lustful desire at a woman. He repudiates not only one who actually commits adultery, but even one who wishes to do so; for not only our actions are manifest to God, but even our thoughts (First Apology 15 [A.D. 151]).
>>
>>139262764
Clement of Alexandria

That Scripture counsels marriage, however, and never allows any release from the union is expressly contained in the law: "You shall not divorce a wife, except for reason of immorality." And it regards as adultery the marriage of a spouse, while the one from whom a separation was made is still alive. "Whoever takes a divorced woman as wife commits adultery," it says: "for if anyone divorces his wife, he debauches her"; that is, he compels her to commit adultery. And not only does he that divorces her become the cause of this, but also he that takes the woman and gives her the opportunity of sinning; for if he did not take her, she would return to her husband (Miscellanies 2:23:145:3 [A.D. 208]).
>>
>>139262803
Origen

Just as a woman is an adulteress, even though she seems to be married to a man, while a former husband yet lives, so also the man who seems to marry her [and] who has been divorced does not marry her, but, according to the declaration of our Savior, he commits adultery with her (Commentaries on Matthew 14:24 [A.D. 248]).

Council of Elvira

Likewise, a woman of the faith [i.e., a baptized person] who has left an adulterous husband of the faith and marries another, her marrying in this manner is prohibited. If she has so married, she may not at any more receive communion — unless he that she has left has since departed from this world (canon 9 [A.D. 324]).

If she whom a catechumen [an unbaptized person studying the faith] has left shall have married a husband, she is able to be admitted to the fountain of baptism. This shall also be observed in the instance where it is the woman who is the catechumen. But if a woman of the faithful is taken in marriage by a man who left an innocent wife, and if she knew that he had a wife whom he had left without cause, it is determined that Communion is not to be given to her even at death (canon 10).
>>
>>139262844
Ambrose of Milan

No one is permitted to know a woman other than his wife. The marital right is given you for this reason: lest you fall into the snare and sin with a strange woman. "If you are bound to a wife, do not seek a divorce"; for you are not permitted, while your wife lives, to marry another (Abraham 1:7:59 [A.D. 387]).

You dismiss your wife, therefore, as if by right and without being charged with wrong doing and you suppose it is proper for you to do so because no human law forbids it; but divine law forbids it. Anyone who obeys men ought to stand in awe of God. Hear the law of the Lord, which even they who propose our laws must obey: "What God has joined together let no man put asunder" (Commentary on Luke 8:5 [A.D. 389]).

Jerome

Wherever there is fornication and a suspicion of fornication a wife is freely dismissed. Because it is always possible that someone may calumniate the innocent and, for the sake of a second joining in marriage, act in criminal fashion against the first, it is commanded that when the first wife is dismissed a second may not be taken while the first lives (Commentaries on Matthew 3:19:9 [A.D. 398]).

Pope Innocent I

[T]he practice is observed by all of regarding as an adulteress a woman who marries a second time while her husband yet lives, and permission to do penance is not granted her until one of them is dead (Letters 2:13:15 [A.D. 408]).

It's not Church tradition. Priests could be married in the Roman Catholic Church until the 12th century after the Second Lateran Council began requiring priestly celibacy, but even today the Uniate Eastern Rite Catholic Churches (in full communion with the Pope in Rome) allow married priests, not to mention married priests in the Anglican Ordinariate (also in full communion with the Pope in Rome). The Bible speaks not only of married priests, but also warns about "deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons" that forbid marriage (1 Timothy 4). The Church Fathers denounced efforts to require priestly celibacy as an attempt to make oneself appear holier than the Apostles, most of whom (like St. Peter) were married. Even Jesus Christ himself is the bridegroom with the Church as his bride.

So a Christian cuck who divorces the slut who cucked him not only is supposed to die alone under the threat of becoming an adulterer if he marries again?

Top kek Cuckstianity.
>>
>>139265100
yes , and I rely my judgement on the Church fathers and there are many rules, old timers cannot remarry, esp. a young lass, the second marriage is done without the glory of a wedding crown and the third only if up to 40 yo and childless. As per Saint Nicephore and Saint Basil and with penalties. But this is technical, if you are unlucky in life you can remarry .

Yes. He could seek an annulment which says the marriage was never valid in the first place and would be allowed marry again. No garentees though.

In an ideal Christian society the adulteers might be put to death.

>For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
>1 Timothy 2:5
There is no "Pope thing". Jesus left the Apostles as the overseers ("episkopos" in Greek, the original language of the New Testament, which morphed into the word "bishop" in English usage) of his Church. The bishops of the Orthodox Church are the successors of the Apostles and the overseers of Jesus Christ's Church today. The Pope was just the Bishop of Rome, but he schismed away from the true Church in the 11th century and started teaching heresy to his followers (the Roman Catholic Church today). Neither in the Bible, nor in the Church Fathers, nor in the Tradition of the Church were the bishops ever given authority over one another beyond the example Jesus gave of washing each other's feet and serving one another to be considered "greater":
>But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you; but whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave; even as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
>Matthew 20:25-28
The claims by the Pope that Jesus gives him the power to lord it over the other bishops and the whole Church, and exercise supreme authority over them is a demonic heresy.
>>

>He could seek an annulment which says the marriage was never valid in the first place and would be allowed marry again.
An annulment in Catholic theology refers to an actual case where the marriage could not have happened in the first place such as consanguineous marriage which is sacramentally impossible, and is just a formal process to declare to the community that the marriage ceremony was therefore invalid and update Church records accordingly. In practice, as is par for the course with Catholic casuistry, the annulment process (even more so with Pope Francis's reforms) has been abused to the extent that it is being used de facto as Catholic divorce (meaning all the initial conditions for a valid sacramental marriage were met but with some bullshit legerdemain the annulment will be granted anyway).

The Pope isn't the Pope because he's the Bishop of Rome, he's the Bishop of Rome because he's the Pope. A Pope that renounces the Roman episcopate is still legitimate, but he's abusing his position. And the fact is that, after all, the Popes came back to the Eternal City after being resisted by many that today are revered as saints.

They're in communion. The "half communion" notion doesn't exist within the Catholic Church. That's just Vatican propaganda.

They just don't have a canonical form, yet (and that illegally because Vatican are a bunch of modernist faggots).

>>139248134
>>139248224
Propaganda. The april article was a Vatican hit piece. Yes, they were a few cases (4 or 5) during the last couple of decades, and those priests were expelled from the Congregation.

The fact, the whole pedophilia in the Church thing is mostly propaganda. 90% of the cases are actually ephebophilia (basically sodomite priests having intercourse with ysodomite young men) and it's statistically similar or even less than any other institution.

Still, the homosexualization of the clergy is a big problem, specially since Vatican II.

What is the great task that lies before our era? I would not say generation because these things span many generations.

In the 15th century we began translating the ancient Greek and Roman works en masse, and created the Renaissance.

In the 16-18 century we sailed the world, bringing the Age of Discovery.

In the 19th and 20th centuries, we explored the Congo and gave India her Independence, civilizing the entire world.

What now? The ancient words are understood, the world is known and civilized. What lies before us, that only the White Man, working with and under Christ, can bring forth to mankind? For the world is fast coming to a standstill. It is up to us to move it forward.
