Afghanistan is a quagmire. If we pull out now, we'll leave a power vacuum, like we did in iraq. Isis will take over and the islamic state will grow even more powerful. We're doing the best we can with the mess that Bush got us into years ago. There's no clean way out of it. We're just trying to keep things from getting worse.

Now, if it were up to me, I'd nuke the entire country. Every man woman child dead, turn the whole country to an unlivable hellscape for the next thousand years, but that's not going to happen.

We're just getting by. There's no good way out.
