Why was this "disproved" or not recognised as as viable or valid as the out of Africa theory?
>pic is out of africa - i couldn't find a map for out of asia hypothesis which i find really interesting considering it was the prominent theory until only 50 years ago.

also, i think that there is so much genetic variety in the Indian subcontinent, maybe not proves but has evidence of a lot of different people coming from there

The reason why I believe the out of Africa model is more accurate is because the lack of Neanderthal admixture is most likely what accounts for the genetic differences between sub-saharian africans and the rest of humanity.

I thought it was in the wikipedia article (but it isnt) i just read a thing somewhere (not sure where now - i've been reading random stuff on it for an hour or so) that the lack of Haplogroup N in subsaharan afrians may be due to that being the furthest place of migration from the original source in central asia (according to the out of asia theory)
the trace amounts of mtDNA of N may be from groups migrating back and forth from Europe to Africa

thanks, i went through all the pics from google and duckduckgo looking for a migration map and couldnt find one

Who we are today was determined by our journey, not our beginnings.

here's the bit i was looking for
>Haplogroup N is found in all parts of the world but has low frequencies in Sub-Saharan Africa. According to a number of studies, the presence of Haplogroup N in Africa is most likely the result of back migration from Eurasia.

i'm not coming from a standpoint trying to justify a racist belief i have, i just think that it's interesting
also, the multi-regional theory has just makes more sense to me
>pic still says out of africa though

Some months ago was a discovery of a possible interbreed between sub-saharian humans and another hominid species.
