It's hard to define, the hierarchy he used would be considered right wing but his economics for the German people would of been left.

Neither entirely communist or Capitalist. Tries to use as little communism as possible to restrain an otherwise capitalistic economy.
It mirrors a similar outlook for social maters. It gives as much freedom to the people as possible, mostly using suggestions instead of laws, but is willing to law down the law when necessary.

It is a synthesis of the issues found in crony capitalism and Marxist-Leninist socialism.

The left/right dichotomy was developed during the lead up to the French Revolution when the monarchists sat to the right of the king during the parliamentary hearings and the Jacobins sat to the left. You could easily say that "left" is whatever coincides with/expands enlightenment principals like social and political equality and secularism, while "right" is anything that opposes/restricts these principals, such as social and political hierarchy and state religion.

It's a messy dichotomy. I prefer to avoid it and instead use specific political terms.
