6 bottles for £20 is very cheap, and for some reason the women of Britain all drink Prosecco now. The Perlenbacher Pilsner is reduced to £2.99 for 6 and is actually pretty good, I'm drinking it now. Bavarian bratwurst also half-price, and crisps work out at 4p a bag.

I've NEVER EVER seen a queue outside a supermarket in Italy, I've seen them packed pretty tight at times, but never caused a problem because most of the garbage that is used to restrict the flux of people in certain directions got removed, since they were expecting more people than usual.
Are your supermarkets really that shitty? Do you have just a long snake-line that goes from the entrance to the exit with no maneuver space? What the fuck?

They have somewhat cheap food and tech for the home (electric kettles, blenders, toasters, etc.), but they ramp up the prices on cosmetics.
There's also not much choice there; I'd rather go to a Kaufland for my shopping. They also have rather expensive cosmetics (a Nivea shampoo costs 1 or 2 euros more than the usual price in smaller shops), but the bigger size and the many choices you have there redeem it somewhat.

>Champers is for poor people
It's the most expensive type of wine in terms of minimum price owing to the fact you cant get it in goon form, and to actually be considered champagne rather than sparkling white it needs to be imported from france.

lovely stuff, about £60 a bottle

I've never seen rich people actually drink champagne, it's a mediocre tasting wine that holds "upper middle class" wine status

Most people who drink Dom haven't stored it so it goes from high status to good status. They sell it too new.

Bordeux is best french wine

Is wine a meme - I couldn't tell the difference between an 'ok' wine and a six-thousand dollar beau jolais. They all come out the same.
>>
>>139139298
I bought a $70 bottle of Moet to celebrate my engagement.
Had a slight egg taste to it that was rather unpleasant.
Never had that problem with $6 bottles of sparkling.
Expensive wine is indeed a meme

In CDN I tell people to stick with $14-$16 and you can get a really good wine. It's a huge difference from something like yellowtail. I like my wines dry so I stick with Bordeux & Chianti usually

Anything over $20 produces diminishing returns until you reach the $800 range.

But yeah, good wine has less "bad" things in it that contribute to hangover and general health. I barely get a hangover with some really good wine. Bad wines also have really muted flavours and can be a bit pungent.

Good wines (depending on the grape) will explode the insides of your cheeks, i.e. why you eat red meat with them. The flipside, whites, is just a really smooth taste where the additional flavours are noticeable (mango & soil is a popular taste people get). A big benefit is very little sugar and the inclusion

Just get aggressive with wine, swish it around in your mouth, pour it from cup to cup, do whatever you want. Then you'll start noticing all the crazy elements that get absorbed into the grape while its growing.

Storing wine is a meme. Unless it's 5k plus a bottle and kept inside a dedicated cellar under very specific conditions it will go to shit tier very fast.

Fellow NE britbong; it beats the usual troves of people swarming into primark for shit clothes/twats in pubs elbowing into the bar when you've already been served/spreading shit about you behind your back.

It's nice living in small towns, but not when everyone knows everyone else.

Good analysis - I guess the base analogy would be that the populace are burying their heads in the sand of drunken Oblivion. While the halls of libraries and democratic process collapse around their heads to appease the 1% of minorities who want to change our way of life.
>>
>>139145993
You can't call them minorities any more, it's demeaning to their social status.
