A proper AI is definitely going to come across as racist.. you can't use appeals to emotion to get it to give you the results you want. Of course with something like Tay you can manipulate it into saying whatever you want, but if you got a decent AI and let it analyze statistics it's naturally going to spit out some shit about blacks being a problem. What neural networks do is shape a formulaic expression of inputs into outputs given training data and a possible fitness space.
Once trained, you have a specific setting of nodes and their connecting weights, and given an input it'll give you the output.
It is PURE MATHEMATICS and the only things that can go wrong are the initial parameters and a simplistic approach to a complex problem causing a misrepresentation of the data, basically trying to make a correlation fit for two unrelated data. AND EVEN THEN, chances are that with enough training data, shit will happen.

This has nothing to do with AI tho, they're comparing their shitty RNN with machines built on extremely complex structures that are not exclusively neural networks, and this shit is actually magic as far as I'm concerned

There might even be some component that's social/historical rather than inherited, but how the fuck does that matter here and now? If I'm evaluating what neighborhood is safe, the fact that it's full of blacks is a 100% justified and corrected piece of evidence that it's going to be more dangerous and violent.
