Google has bean their crackdown on free speech. We all knew this would happen sooner or later.

What alternative search engine is /pol/ approved? I've subscribed to qwant and yandex recently, but I'm unsure if they are good or trustworthy. Redpill me on these options:

Duckduckgo
https://duckduckgo.com/

Qwant
https://www.qwant.com/

yandex
https://www.yandex.com/

bing
https://www.bing.com/

You do not need alternative search engines. Stop searching. What are you looking for anyways?

Been using this browser and I really like it.

Duckduck go + mozilla firefox, is it a good combination?

As an engineer with the requisite skills, should I be starting my own search engine?

It requires a lot of compute power and bandwidth desu but search is a relatively solved problem.
>>
>>139069779
I use it mostly to look for news and information about something/some place

Who care about the tracking? It's that they are going to stop indexing content that is HIGHLY PROBLEMATIC

FKN GREAT

We will be forced to interact through word of mouth and printed publication, where we are free from the grips of all the bullshit shills. NO ONE will know what to do when we are no longer bound to an IP.

mozilla is partnering up with George Soros to curb fake news. it should still be usable, but that's something to consider. I think people recommend waterfox or palemoon. waterfox is closer to the current firefox, while palemoon focuses on privacy.

Ixquick is the best since it uses Google to gather results but doesn't intrude on your privacy. More info: https://www.ixquick.com/eng/protect-privacy.html

Mozilla also fired the creator of JS from it, because he gave 1000 to support an anti-fag marriage bill on California. The first James Demore was THE creator of javascript and co-founder of mozilla.

google's only concern is to create a profile about you so they can sell it to advertisers
startpage funnels all users into a single, anonymous one, thus making it useless: it's akin to a user with a million personalities. you can't target ads with that
once other search engines are better, I'll switch
>>
>>139070621
If you really are a commie, you should be worried by google's behavior too, you know...
>>

>>

bing is the same shit, but worse
if you're going to use deficient searching, use yandex or qwant

Most will say no, but is an ultra normie set up that puts you on zero radars.

You can't realistically hide from the NSA if they WANT to watch you, just act like a normie. Going on TOR (a Navy production) is just diving into the biggest honeypot imaginable.

I prefer startpage/qwant.

+1 on Startpage. It's also my homepage

Also use Comodo Dragon (Chrome fascia) and Comodo Ice Dragon (Firefox fascia) for browser. Regular Dragon probably phones home since it's still chrome, but is a hell of a lot more secure and functions on all sites. Plus, IceDragon is slow as shit.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
