I pay per semester, so I've been taking way too many credits to have time for that bullshit. I can say that organized anything of any kind is always a waste of time. Do what you enjoy, but know that you will accomplish nothing of importance doing it.

Go to school for school and nothing else.
The only time you should say anything is if your teacher allows/preaches liberal bullshit to the point that it is disruptive to your learning.
And then you take that straight to the Dean, because you will be targeted by your classmates if you vocalize in class.
Some places are worse than others, so just feel out your university before you start sperging.
