We've only been a country for 241 years and before that we were just a colony. It's no practical (cost-benefit analysis) or even fashionable to build European style buildings, although I wish it was. I don't know why Euros are so confused by this. I'm not saying we couldn't do better here, but we just don't have the history behind us. Even with the time we have had, many of our historical buildings were neglected and destroyed to make way for whatever housing development or skyscraper was profitable by money grabbing cunts.

Brick house are not much more sturdier than wood house, pic is what happens when a weak F3 tornado hits 'sturdy' Yuro brick houses. You have to use concrete or cinder-blocks or ICFs with rebar to have anything significantly more sturdy than a wood house. The question is why does only Scandinavia build wood houses? Wood is far easier to work with, is easier to insulate, is a better insulator, is less expensive, has incredible tensile strength, and with modern processing and building techniques is very resilient.
